The solution: CCD imaging.


The following images were captured with a SBIG ST--6 CCD camera using the
6-inch refractor at Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

M27 "Dumbell Nebula".
Exposure: 45 secs.
M57 "Ring Nebula".
Exposure: 25 secs.
Lunar Sinus Iridum.
Exposure: 0.1 sec
Lunar Crater Clavius.
Exposure: 0.1 sec
