The World Trade Center
During Construction - 1971
This is a photo I took of the World Trade Center while in the Army
during the building construction phase. The photo was taken Saturday
15-May-1971 while flying down the Hudson River in a Chinook CH-47
helicopter from West Point to Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.
You can see through the buildings at a height of approximately 500 feet.
We were on our way to make a demonstration parachute jump on the parade
grounds at the fort.
