| I live in Bartlett, Tennessee. It is a growing suburb near Memphis. We have a new mayor, Ken Fulmar. Mayor Fulmar cares about the people in his community, including aspiring young astronauts like me. I enjoyed meeting Mayor Fulmar at a Bartlett City Council meeting in January 1999. I was so impressed with meeting Mayor Fulmar, that I think I would like to be an astro-politician like John Glenn. I will be attending as many Bartlett City Council meetings as Mom and Dad will let me so that I can learn more about government. I am a citizen of the universe! |

| This year, I am in the 3rd grade. My 3rd grade teacher is Mrs. Gann at Altruria Elementary School. My MARS PENJING 2027 project is now online along with my SPACE PENJING project. |

| I learned about Johnny Appleseed from my 1st grade teacher Mrs. Witt. Johnny Appleseed's real name was Johnathan Chapman. He was born on September 26, 1774. He was America's frontier "missionary nurseryman." He planted and gave away appleseeds to everyone he met and helped establish apple orchards across America, and even Ohio where my Dad grew up. Space is a vast new frontier. Like Johnny Appleseed, I would like to help plant seeds and trees in the new frontier. |
