Entrance to my creationary world

This webpage gives you a long list of sentences in which the adjective creationary or one of its derivatives (i.e., noncreationary, anticreationary, procreationary, etc.) is actually used by either an evolutionary or a creationary writer. My intention is to keep on adding new sentences to this expanding catalogue as I find them on the Internet or in other media (books, magazines, newspapers, etc.). You and I as readers may or may not agree with the sensible (or sometimes nonsensical) ideas contained in these sentences, but I believe we ought to embrace the wisdom of Aristotle who said: "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it". I encourage all open- and fair-minded evolutionists and creationists to make the adjective creationary a part of their active core vocabulary. They ought to use it consistently alongside the parallel adjective evolutionary in their own speech and writing.

Dr. Russell L. Mixter is the first recorded person (as far as I know) to have used the adjective creationary in print, way back in 1959. If you are aware of some other writer who has used it any earlier, please let me know.

The rapid growth of evolutionism forced creationists to branch out in their theories and to search both the Scriptures as the word of God and science as the work of God for views which were more sound than their pre-Darwinian creationary theories that had degenerated during the Dark Ages. Numerous creationary theories were proposed as alternatives to evolution.

These sentences were written by Russell L. Mixter, Ph.D., Professor of Zoology at Wheaton College, and were taken from page 32 of the book Evolution and Christian Thought Today, ed. Russell L. Mixter (Grand Rapids, MI: Wm. B. Eerdmans, 1959).
