Tugs Have Gone to Help
The Steamer Huronic

Tugs have gone to the assistance of the steamer Huronic of the Northern Navigation Co., which is ashore at Whitefish Point. The Huronic is one of the finest passenger boats on the lakes and has a good passenger list.

The officials of the Northern Navigation Co., have received word that the boat is in no danger and tugs were immediately dispatched from nearby points to her assistance. On board the Huronic are 25 sailors which were picked up on Lake Superior last Saturday after their boat had become stranded

The lake bottom where the Huronic grounded is of a sandy nature and the boat will not be damaged to any great extent. A blinding snow storm was raging at the time the master of the Huronic was trying for shelter under Whitefish Point when she stranded. It is expected that the Huronic will arrive at Sarnia in a day or two. No alarm is felt for the passengers as they are receiving the best of care and attention and aside from the delay in arriving will not be inconvenienced to any great extent.

The Huronic is commanded by Captain Campbell, of Sarnia, and this is the first accident to his ship.
