These kinds of magazines are also found in "newspaper" racks along the Strip and in front of various off-strip hotels and other locations.  For a few months in 1998, the hand-distribution of these were banned on the Strip, but have since (as of April of 1999) been re-
introduced as a matter of free speech.  The pictures inside "show it all."  The first ones of these I saw (in Summer of 1996) had cleverly placed hearts or other graphics over the naughty parts.  The ones I've seen lately have dispensed with that, and are now pretty much "wide-open."
I don't know about other parts of the state, but I haven't seen any "legal" establishments that I would want to go into, even if I was into that sort of thing.  One time I had to drive from Vegas to Tonopah, and passed several establishments along the way.  Imagine a 30 year old single-wide trailer painted pink and setting about 50 yards off the highway.  Pretty exciting, eh?
If not legalized prostitution, there is a lot of nudity in Vegas.  However, it's not as wide-open as you might think.  As a matter of fact, totally nudes clubs within the Las Vegas city limits cannot sell alchohol (although just topless clubs can).  Here is how the typical totally-nude club in Vegas works (I never went in one, but this is what I was told):  you first pay a $10 admission fee, then you must purchase a $10 "bottomless" soft drink container.  That's essentially $20 to get in.  Whatever you spend after that (tips) is up to you.  I'm too cheap (and pure ;-) for that kind of entertainment.
SEX & SUCH
Being a married man, I don't know much about this topic.  However, since Las Vegas is known as Sin City for sex as much as gambling, I thought I would have to address that topic here.

As you may know, Nevada is the only state in the Union where prostitution is legal.  However, what you may not know is that it is legalized on a county-by-county basis, like alchohol is in some other states (dry and wet counties, so to speak!)  And Clark County (where Vegas is located) is a "dry" county.  Does that mean there is no prostitution in Vegas?  I doubt it.  All along the strip every night you'll find people passing out little magazines that show pictures and give the numbers of girls who can be in your room "in 20 minutes."  Are they going to just give you a show?  I don't know.  Here is the cover of one of the mag's.  The pictures inside would make Hugh Hefner blush (or something like that).
