LIFESTAR crew members at the recent Connecticut EMS Conference at the Raddison Hotel in Cromwell, Connecticut. Hundreds of participants toured through the exhibit.





Softball team makes a hit around the state!

Under the direction of pilot Rick Shotwell the manager of the LIFE STAR softball team, Hartford Hospital employees have shown team spirit in representing LIFE STAR in games around the state. Here, Rick gives his all, on the ballfield, and spreading goodwill on behalf of the LIFE STAR team!


The Chief of the Chaplin, Ct. Fire Department Steve Guay awards a plaque to the LIFE STAR softball team at the towns 75th Anniversary picnic held September 6, 1997. The baseball game, along the arrival of a LIFE STAR helicopter to the picnic was headlined feature for the day.

Just about the whole town turned out to take a tour of the helicopter during the festivities. Chaplin, often requsets the services of the medical helicopter because of the distance to the closest recieving hospital is quite far.




Here crew members man a table at the Combined Charities Fair held at Hartford Hospital. For one dollar you can by a raffel ticket to get a free ride on LIFE STAR . This fair is part of the annual United Way fund raising event at the hospital.

Here the Police Chief of Milford, Ct. reads a proclamation to the LIFE STAR crew that participated in saving the life of two Milford Police officers in a diving accident earlier in the year
