IS GOD PRO-CHOICE OR PRO-LIFE???

Are you PRO-CHOICE or PRO-LIFE? This is certainly one of the most controversial and emotional issues of our time. Almost everyone has a strong opinion on this subject and it arouses the passions of people everywhere. What is your opinion? Whose opinion really counts? Some would say the mother's opinion is the only opinion that really counts. Others would say the opinions of the Supreme Court justices are the only opinions that really count.

Let's address a question that is rarely addressed when discussing PRO-CHOICE or PRO-LIFE. WHAT IS GOD'S OPINION? Isn't He our Creator? Isn't He the ultimate judge? Isn't He the ultimate authority? The Bible teaches us that one day we are all going to be judged by God. Therefore, the opinion of God, who is our ultimate judge and ultimate authority, should be the only opinion that really matters.

Is God PRO-CHOICE? God gave Adam and Eve a free CHOICE -- to obey or disobey. He didn't make them robots so that they had to do the will of God. He created mankind with a free will. Because of man's sinful nature, he CHOSE to disobey God. It was Adam and Eve's CHOICE.

All throughout the Old Testament, the nation of Israel was given a free CHOICE -- to serve God or not to serve God. When their hearts were right and they CHOSE to serve God, the blessings of God flowed in their lives and in their land. When their hearts were not right before God and they CHOSE not to serve God, the curse of God was upon their lives and upon their land. But the CHOICE was theirs.

God has always been a God of free will and free CHOICE. To pray or not to pray -- the CHOICE is yours. To read God's Word or not read God's Word -- the CHOICE is yours. To obey God's commandments or disobey God's commandments -- the CHOICE again is yours. We will all be held accountable for our actions and our CHOICES but that does not detract from the fact the God has created you with a free will and a free CHOICE.

Finally, there is the most important CHOICE of your life -- accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, or to reject Him. The CHOICE is clearly yours. God sent His only Son into this sin-filled world to die on the cross for your sins. God has done all He could do. God has only one plan of salvation. He will not force you to be saved. He has left that CHOICE up to you.

John 3:36 says, "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." Your eternal destiny is determined by your CHOICE -- eternal life in Heaven if you accept Christ or eternal damnation in Hell if you reject Christ. There is no neutral ground. There is no purgatory. Your eternal destiny is determined by the CHOICE you make while you are still alive on this earth. Is God PRO-CHOICE? The overwhelming evidence from the Bible supports the notion that God is definitely PRO-CHOICE.

However, let us examine the matter of PRO-CHOICE concerning abortion. Isaiah 44:2 says, "Thus says the Lord who made you and formed you from the womb." Isaiah 49:1 says, "The Lord called me from the womb; From the body of my mother He named me." Psalms 22:10 says, "From my mother's womb you have been my God." Jeremiah 1:5 says, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you." From these Scriptures it is easy to see that from the moment of conception, we became a special PERSON in God's eyes. He made us, He formed us, He called us, He named us, He knew us, and he consecrated us -- all from our mother's wombs.

This obviously makes abortion murder in God's eyes. God may be PRO-CHOICE, but He is definitely anti-abortion. Someone must speak for the unborn child. God has done so in His Word. Your opinion and my opinion do not matter. God, the ultimate judge and authority, has spoken.

Now let's examine the question, "Is God PRO-LIFE?" A study of the Bible shows us that God is the creator of all LIFE. Genesis 2:7 says, "the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of LIFE".

Job 10:12 says, "Thou has granted me LIFE." Proverbs 8:35 states, "For whosoever findeth Me findeth LIFE, and shall obtain favor of the Lord." Jeremiah 21:8 says, "Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I say before you the way of LIFE." From the Old Testament, it is easy to determine that God is the creator, the giver, and the sustainer of all LIFE. Yes God is definitely PRO-LIFE.

Is Jesus Christ PRO-LIFE? Let's look at the New Testament. In John 10:10 Jesus says, "I am come that they might have LIFE, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 11:25 says, "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the LIFE: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he LIVE." I John 5:11 states, "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal LIFE, and this LIFE is in His Son."

" Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6) Yes Jesus Christ is definitely PRO-LIFE. To go through the pain, the suffering, the humiliation, the agony for you and me was proof of His love for us. Jesus gave the ultimate sacrifice -- HIS LIFE -- so that we might have an abundant LIFE full of love, joy, and peace. Not only that, but we can have eternal LIFE in Heaven, by putting our faith in Jesus Christ now.

The conclusion is that God is both PRO-CHOICE and PRO-LIFE. ETERNAL LIFE -- accept it or reject it. The CHOICE is yours. The vast majority of people are foolishly rejecting ETERNAL LIFE for the sinful pleasures of this LIFE.

The signs of the time tell us that the end of this Age and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ are rapidly approaching. It is very possible that very soon now you will have neither a CHOICE nor a LIFE. You need to repent of your sins and ask Jesus to come into your LIFE as personal Lord and Savior. Won't you make the right CHOICE now and CHOOSE ETERNAL LIFE before it is too late?

" Whosoever believeth in Him (Jesus) should not perish but have ETERNAL LIFE." (John 3:15)
