 1676Battle of Stromboli. Indecisive naval battle between the French and the Dutch.
 1806Battle of Blueberg, British defeat French-Dutch and go on to capture Cape Town, again.
 1815Battle of New Orleans, made a hero out of Andrew Jackson (the War of 1812 had ended on 12/24/1814, but nobody knew that).
