In recent years, our county has seen some of the smallest voter turnouts ever recorded. What was once considered a privilege and duty of every American, voting has become something that is considered out of style and uncool. Citizens have become out of touch with their local government, thanks to confidence-draining acts by opposing political figures who are only out to destroy each other.
If you walk the streets of almost any community in our country, how many people can you find who know the names of their local state representative, or their Congressman, or their Senator? How many can tell you the laws these elected men and women discuss every day that could have an adverse effect on their lives? Probably not too many...
That is exactly why the East Pasco Young Democrats were formed. Located in Pasco County, Florida, we feel its time to bring government back into our lives, to help bring back what our forefathers originally intended for their children:

A government FOR the people ... BY the people

We are recruiting new members right now. If you are between the ages of 16 and 41, and live in Pasco County, we invite you to join us in saving our government, and returning it to its rightful benefactors -- us. Simply email Steven Van Gorden at svangor13@aol.com with your name, age and phone number, and we will answer all your questions, and invite you to our next meeting.
Too old to join? That's what you think. Any one over the age of 41 can join the East Pasco Young Democrats in an advisory position. You can remain active in the Democratic Party, and at the same time, help shape young minds, and guide them on the path to understanding and becoming a part of government. Simply email details about yourself to Mr. Van Gorden at svangor13@aol.com.
