CHRONICLE OF STRUGGLE

  11 June.  Represenative of the Alliance of Workers' Unions "Defense" (Russia) made a report on anti labor repressions in Kazakhstan at the VII International Conferense in Geneva.  The conference was organized by International Liaison Committee of Workers and Peoples and UCPO – Union des Ñercles pour une Politique Ouvriere).  The Conferense has issued an appeal to Kazakhstan authorities to stop the persecutions of labor activists. 

Workers' Solidarity Is Real!  A Letter from the Strike Committee of "Metallist" 
 
1 October 1999.  Under the red flag unfurled, the workers of Metallist Factory are going toward the regional governor's office . But why they are marching along the sidewalk (left and right of the yellow billboard) rather than down the avenue on the left?  Because otherwise they could and would be arrested for "illegal" demo.

New Arrests of Labor Leaders in Kazakhstan.  On the eve of its Refoundation Conference, the Labor Movement of  Kazakhstan "Solidarity" (RDKS) is coming under increasing attacks by the repressive apparatus of this Central Asian dictatorship.
