To ensure their safety, please remember that Mistletoe, Holly, Poinsettia's and Tinsel are toxic and dangerous. Please make sure they can't get at the decorations, ornaments or the tree. Animals have a special place among us during the holiday season, but sometimes they can become overly excited or anxious by all the guests and partying going on around them, so please make sure they have a *quiet place* in which to retreat to, away from the partying where it's quiet and yet still close enough to feel a part of all the festivities.
Chocolate is a NO-NO. Be careful with all the food too, there's no need for your dog to overindulge just because it's the season for us humans to do so. You'd be surprised how many hands will be feeding the dogs a bit here, a bit there. ;c)
...and why not feed the birds outside, they can get quite hungry and thirsty too, especially if you live in snow country.
