Factories that produced Carnival Glass Copyright G&S Thistlewood, 2007 |
The lists are almost certainly neither exhaustive nor complete, but they are a good starting point. The USA makers produced "Classic Carnival Glass" (the name we gave it back in 1998) - we have not included all the later makers such as Jeanette, nor the Contemporary makers such as Boyd. Note that 2007 marks the centenary of Classic Carnival, as it was first introduced by Fenton in 1907. The European makers are on record producing Carnival at least as early as 1915 (Brockwitz) and very possibly before that date, while Crown Crystal in Australia probably began iridising in 1919. South America and Asia probably began their production from circa 1930s (it may have been earlier). |
