| Left is a DAM f455fs it is a reel designed with a baitrunner system, which allows a carp to run without pulling your rod in. The lever at the back of the reel is the baitrunner switch between fighting drag (on the front) & baitrunner mode (tension knob on the rear of the reel). You can fish with a normal spinning reel but this makes it far easier with less risk of a foul up. |

| Right is a Delkim converted Optonic bite alarm. It is loud enough to inform everyone in the near vacinity that you have a carp on the end of your line. It has volume & tone controls if you wish to be discrete. It is attached to a Gardner mini tripod. With two rods a Rod pod (dual rod holder) is more conveniant. |
