Edvar died of a blade to his heart and slumped dead onto the rampart and rolled off the edge, meanwhile Rithevan was dangling off of it by both arms.

The three who'd held Phoenix became slack on their grip as they watched their Edvar die.  Phoenix leapt forward out of their arms and kicked his executioner in the chest.  The man lay winded while the three stood on guard and in shock, facing Phoenix with fear.

Rithevan let go of the timber.  He collapsed on the ground and yelped from the pain in his bloody calf.  He hurried and hobbled across the yard to Phoenix and the remaining bandits.

“No!  Ryad!  Benry!  Frederick!  Joliss!  Stop shedding blood!  Edvar is dead why are you even still fighting?”

Joliss got up off of the ground and the four began looking to each other for a decision, still their weapons were drawn.

“Get out or we will kill you. Quipped Phoenix.

“You have lost today, do not add to the dead.  Think about this:  you can start again, you can live better lives!”

Phoenixes eyes grew red.  The burning entrance began to die down.  The former bandits of Edvar began to turn.  Frederick looked at Rithevan.  Rithevan ran up to him and quietly said, “Go and get Danny-Bee.  He is tied up inside the keep.”  Frederick started off to the keep which had flames growing out of the hole made in the roof.
