The Red Fox is a crafty wizard who makes his home deep in a forest of ancient black oaks. Decades ago he was the Court Magician for a powerful monarch. During this time, he made some powerful enemies, including his arch-nemesis, the Gray Wolf.

Becoming weary of the political intrigue at the court, the Fox sought out an ancient site of magical power upon which to build his home and fastness - a place where he could relax for a decade or so and perhaps train an apprentice.
