King Ulmerad
-- by Anthony Sava

Position: High Ruler of all Ikros

U lmerad grew up in the farming regions east of Ikros' capitol. After being chosen by Holy Light to be its' wielder and watching his family be slaughtered by Barlock Guards, he went to Ikros' capitol and, with the help of Daravon, defeated the Dark King Barlock. After Daravon departed the city, the people of Ikros exalted Ulmerad and made him king. Soon after, he fought Daravon for the crown in what was named the Thirty Years War, and, after the start of the barbarian raids, allied with Daravon to defeat the barbarians and the new dark threat from the north, Ethelred. Several years later, he gained the love of his queen, Allamir, after saving her and her family from rouge barbarian forces. He has also been blessed with a beautiful but wild daughter, Alyia. He has been known to spend many nights talking to his daughter, pleading for some calm from her. A good, kind king, Ulmerad is slow to anger and believes in fair justice. His aging slowed by his holy sword, he has become tired of witnessing the countless acts of destruction caused to his kingdom. The years have created a strong but odd friendship with his one time rival Daravon. He has become much more happy since his marriage to Allamir, and in fact, ever since he began to allow her to make decisions for the kingdom, he has slept much better.
