Blythe
-- by Leah Cardaci

Position: Member of the Guardians of the Crown

As the daughter of a prosperous weapons tradesman, Blythe has had two very different influences. Blythe's mother was the leader of the ladies in her town, and gave Blythe her poise and like for frills. Blythe's father, and the smiths that worked for him, gave her the graceful use of arms and the ability to judge their worth.

Instead of accepting one type of life, and disregarding the other, Blythe enjoys employing all of the skill she has gained. She enjoys both in their proper time and place, and sought out a life where each could have a place. Blythe decided early on that the Guardians of the Crown would be a perfect group for her to join.

Blythe enjoys seeing all of the sights she had only imagined from the smith's stories. Her travels as a Guardian have taken her all over Auren and Octavium. The other Guardians were amused at Blythe's initial delight over the sometimes intensive traveling they must do.

At court, Blythe is active in many social events, though her duties always come first. She is a diligent protector, but does not let that keep her from having a balanced life. Blythe is able to share her interest in swordplay with the Guardians, but turn to Lady Amarra when she wants to discuss other matters.
