Wendell |

![]() While Wendell has done his best to conform to his father’s idea of a good man, his heart was never in the training. Wendell lacks the serious nature of his other family members, and has no true taste for battle. He grew up surrounded by fighting and soldiers, but never cared for either. Wendell never doubts that his father’s plans will ensure the kingdom’s safety, but he’d prefer it if someone else had the job of carrying them out. If Wendell’s sister inherited Warner’s mettle, than Wendell undoubtedly received his sensibility. Wendell is an affable person, though he tends to be shy at first. He has made many friends with his father’s troupes, and does a lot to smooth over the problems Jeri’s curtness can cause. The soldiers see what Wendell’s family doesn’t, his dislike of conflict. However they also see he cares much more about their welfare than his sister does. A fair soldier, Wendell works to improve his skills only because he doesn’t want to disappoint Warner. His best friend is a captain named Greg. Greg is a very able fighter and helps his friend practice. The two often go on trip together, exploring the boundaries of Octavium. Wendell finds more and more excuses to be away from home as his dissatisfaction with his way of life increases.
