Warning: this fic contains YAOI (GuyXGuy), blood play and a lemon, if this offends or upsets you do not read this, its that simple.

Pairing: Richter/Alucard

Authoress note: I have changed aspects. I am aware Alucard’s eyes are a soft grey-ish colour, I was however inspired to change this.

Chapter One

Richter watched the pale one recede into the growing darkness and felt a pang in his stomach that he quickly interpreted as guilt.

“don’t you want to go after him” he said to Maria, thinking they both should follow and try to talk the blonde son of Dracula out of what ever fate he had planned.

“no. I can’t ease his pain, maybe one day we’ll meet again and then” Maria finished with a shrug

Richter’s blood boiled at her selfishness but one look at the sadness on her face and the anger melted away, she too obviously felt for the blonde but was thinking a little too cynically or maybe realistically, he could imagine the villagers reaction if the vampire hunters brought home a vampire, half blood or no.

“Yes, let’s get out of here” Richter forced a smile and followed the golden haired girl away from Castlevania.

As they walked the pang in his stomach grew, “we’ll not meet again” what did Alucard mean? Was he going to entomb himself? Or worse what if the silver haired one destroyed himself. That thought stopped Richter dead

“Maria, I’m sorry, can you go on without me there’s . . . something I must do”

Maria nodded a little sadly and continued walking away desperate to be away from Castlevania. Richter nodded to himself and turned back, running after Alucard faster than he should have been able, given his current condition. He felt some of the wounds he had obtained reopen but he ignored them and continued running. He turned around a pillar of still standing stone and crashed into a surprised Dunpeal.

The two hit the rubble hard, Richter half thankful Alucard broke his fall, he really didn’t need anymore wounds right now.

“sorry” Richter muttered getting up and offering the blonde his hand, the blonde just lay there among the rubble looking at him with sharp golden eyes that melted into a soft brown before shifting to a light green where they remained. The blonde then stood without Richter’s aid.

“I could have killed you mortal” Alucard said quietly sheathing his sword he had drawn, before looking to Richter again “why did you return”

“I felt bad about just letting you go like that” Richter said sitting back down before his legs gave out “you saved my life” Alucard shrugged but Richter continued “what are you going to do Alucard?” A light eyebrow was raised, confusion clearly shown on the blondes pale features

“you are quiet badly injured Human you should return to your village and let your wife care for you” Alucard stated simply, avoiding the question

“I will return when I am good and ready” Richter snapped surprising the Dunpeal even more “now I want to know what you are planning to do to yourself”

“why would a vampire hunter care for the fate of a half-blood, Human” Alucard snapped right back but after a short pause during which Richter stared sharply at the blonde, the dunpeal relented “I do not know, I thought of sleep once more but” he paused and seemed to struggle with his words momentarily “ I have a lot to think on I wish to do that first” Richter brightened immediately

“You can stay with us if you wish, we have a few spare rooms you could have one of those” Richter stood despite himself, excited

“I would not burden you with myself” Alucard said “I know these woods well and I will not remain long”

With that said Alucard looked up and his eyes went blank for a second, his body trembled before being swallowed in a fine mist and he remerged as a bat, velvet soft black wings grazed Richter’s cheek before the bat flew away towards the forest.

“Richter your back!!” an affectionate Annett wrapped arms around Richter’s shoulders and held him. Richter winced “oh my love forgive me, how badly are you hurt?”

“its nothing my sweet, just a few minor bumps and bruises here and there” Richter tried to be economical with the truth

Annett looked doubtful, her delicate features scrunching so tightly together in a look of defiance at her husband that Richter couldn’t help but laugh

“my sweet please there is nothing to worry about a little rest and I will be fine”

but instead of being led upstairs to rest he was led gently by his wife into the main room of their home and made to sit while she disappeared momentarily into the kitchen and brought back lemon tea, Annett settled herself on a couch near Richter before speaking

“Maria is sleeping upstairs in one of the guest rooms” Richter nodded glad for the tiny blondes safety “before she left for rest however she told me some of what had happened. She seemed distressed Richter”

Richter opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by a loud knock at the door. Annett almost leapt up and walked briskly to the door. Richter heard voices

“yes Doctor just through here”

Richter winced, he disliked doctors they always seemed to open more cuts than they healed and seemed to delight in sticking great long needles into him.

“Richter old boy” the scrawny mouse like man addressed him with a smile through a wiry white mustache, Richter forced a smile and a nod.

A few minuets later and a lot of ‘mmm’s from the doctor and a few ‘oh my’s from Annett Richter was aloud to wander upstairs to rest. While undressing he managed to get a look at the severity of his injuries, they weren’t as bad as everyone seemed to think, more bruises than cuts.

He remembered how Alucard hadn’t even been aiming for him, but had aimed at some invisible force, whenever the blonde saw that it was inevitable that he would strike the vampire hunter he had twisted his sword to hit the hunter rather than slice him.

Unfortunately there was still a large amount of pain, Richter winced climbing under the light cotton sheets Annett kept on the bed in the summer months, he enjoyed the feeling of clean sheets around his battered form and was soon lightly dozing.

However he was woken by a small hand on his shoulder, he groaned and opened one eye at his intruder. Maria sat on the edge of his bed in a simple white night dress, it looked soft to the touch rather than the lacy things Annett seemed to like that scratched Richter half to pieces.

“forgive me for waking you Richter” Maria whispered “I only wished to see if you were alright”

“I am fine Maria, I will heal with some rest” Richter said quietly, Maria swallowed a few times before speaking once again

“you saw him?” she asked

“yes Maria, I spoke to Alucard, he has gone and hidden himself in the silent forest” Maria’s little eyebrows raised

“but that place is full of monsters and daemons” Maria held a lithe hand to her mouth

“then he should feel right at home” Richter muttered rolling over, a light slap crossed a wound on his arm and he winced yet again

“how could you!” Maria snapped “he saved your life and your soul and still you condemn him as a monster”

Richter paused a moment, he had not deliberately meant to upset Maria, but being in pain and a lack of sleep were getting to him

“forgive me Maria I am just very tired, I know Alucard is not the monster his father was but that is how people will see him, you must not openly associate yourself with him”

“I do not care what this village thinks” Maria snapped then her voice softened “But I understand your tired Richter and I will let you sleep now” with those final words she stood and left the brunet to sleep.

A few warm days of sleep later and Richter was feeling ready for anything, however Annett was a little harder to convince.

“Richter three days of bed rest will not recover you from battling vampires”

“Annett my sweet I didn’t fight any vampires” Richter answered “please my sweet, my legs ache from doing nothing and my mind grows wiry from inactivity I feel like I’ve slept a hundred years”

“three days Richter are hardly a hundred years” Annett was being stubborn, it surprised many people how the slight and little Annett had complete control of her muscular husband.

With those words and a small triumphant smile Annett left the room, leaving a disgruntled Richter in her wake. In a childish display of anger Richter crossed his arms and sulked. He really did feel like he’d been in bed for a century, his mind wandered at that thought, hadn’t Alucard slept for a century or two at one point, he wasn’t entirely sure but the idea of really sleeping for a century made Richter feel woozy.

What would happen to you if you slept for that long, Did he age? Did his hair still grow? The idea of Alucard waking up in a nest of blonde hair made Richter smile before he caught himself.

For the three days he’d spent trapped in bed he’d been constantly repaying parts of his capture in his mind, most of them dwelling on the pale son of Dracula. At first he’d put this down to guilt at knowing the Dunpeal slept on a dirt floor somewhere in the silent forest rather than in one of the soft beds at the Belmont house, but slowly he began to realize otherwise.

He remembered when he’d first seen the dunpeal, Alucard was smaller than he expected, thinner with a delicate look to him that betrayed his true strength. The look of pure surprise the dunpeal held at finding a human in the castle, the subtle hungry glow to his eyes at he scented Richter’s blood and the horror at realizing Richter was a Belmont.

The looks the dunpeal had given him before he was recognized made Richter shudder. He had spent the rest of his time sitting on Dracula’s throne watching the dunpeal through a mirror one of the daemons had set up.

His mind at that time had been almost lost to the darkness and he remembered now what he had wanted to do to the blonde, wants of claws, teeth, moans and desire. The discussion with death over whether once Dracula had been raised would the vampire lord allow the hunter to ‘play’ with his son. He could not deny the effects these feelings had had on him and were still having on him.

“it’s just the remnants of darkness still in my mind” Richter said to himself trying to deny what he felt and the physical reaction he was starting to experience.

“Richter honey did you say something” Annett’s blonde head came around the door followed by the rest of her and a tray holding something that smelt fabulous.

“Nothing my dear” Richter leaned forward to inspect the tray Annett still held out of his reach

“Are you still sulking” she asked grinning “well now if you’re sulking then I’ll just go” She turned to leave

“Annett please” Richter muttered  his wife turned playfully and set the tray on Richter’s lap “oh my love, this is wonderful”  Richter smiled at his wife before attempting to swallow everything on the plate in record time.

Once the food had been devoured Richter smiled and wrapped his arms around his wife “you are perfection my love” Annett giggled as Richter pulled her into his lap before turning her around and closing his mouth over hers.

“I know what could avert your boredom my love” Annett said coyly as she pulled back

“What” Richter asked smiling, waiting to see what his love would do

“This” she shifted in his lap gently putting enough pressure on him to cause a deep throated groan

“And this” her delicate fingers slowly started to unlace Richter’s shirt she deftly started to kiss her husband’s skin once it was revealed.

Richter leaned back, loosely wrapping his arms around his wife. This was just what he needed to empty his head of all thoughts. Feeling his wife’s hands brush the sensitive hair on his chest he shuddered and looked down, Annett’s hair seemed paler than normal, longer with loser curls. Feeling her husband’s eyes on her Annett looked up, Richter’s eyes widened, Annett’s eyes were swirling from blue to grey, becoming sharper and more feral as he watched and as she smiled tiny fangs poked at her bottom lip. When she spoke it was not her anymore but the one Richter had been thinking endlessly about.

“My Beloved Mortal” the pail one spoke

“Alucard” Richter answered before pulling the dunpeal to him and closing his mouth over his in a searing kiss that alone threatened to bring completion. He could feel the blonde creature slowly shift and gently undulate against him, the tiny amount of movement making his heartbeat race as he groaned into the fanged mouth of the dunpeal.

“RICHTER!!” Annett shouted shaking her husband awake

Alu . . . Annett” Richter asked trying to calm his heaving breaths

“my love did you have a nightmare, you were crying out and thrashing . . . have you hurt yourself?” Annett asked looking worried

“no my love” Richter whispered breathlessly

“you don’t need to re-open any of your wounds my dear” Annett said “let me look”

“no” Richter snapped suddenly in fear that his wife would notice his ‘condition’ then he paused and sniffed the air “is something burning”

Annett’s worried expression became more so and she dashed from the room. Richter fell back onto his pillow, still trying to slow his breathing and stop his body shuddering. Richter’s mind raced, he was not besotted with an another male!! He couldn’t be it was just to. . . his thoughts drifted back to the dunpeal and his stomach jumped, Richter groaned, it wasn’t bad enough Alucard was a another male but he was a dunpeal, a half blood, half vampire, Dracula’s child!!!

Richter buried his face in his hands, what would this do to him, to his reputation, to his family’s reputation? He gasped quietly what would Annett think.

NO! He wasn’t smitten with a dunpeal it was just his guilt getting to him in a strange way, a really strange way. A good day outside with his wife would sort his head out. As if timed Annett came back into the bedroom holding a plate of sandwiches, she looked apologetic

“I burnt the stew” she said blushing

“it alright my love, anything you make will be wonderful even ham sandwiches” Richter smiled Annett blushed more

“you old charmer Richter” she playfully nudged him.
