Disclaimer: Castlevania belongs to Konami
not me. I am making £0.00 out of this fic, it is written purely because I have
a burning need to create. Although I would like to own Alucard . . . then he’d
be mine.
Warning: this fic contains really Light YAOI (GuyXGuy), blood play and vampires (is this a necessary
warning for a Castlevania fic?). However although the first few chapters are
very easy going the later chapters
include, Heavy Yaoi, Violence and discussing of sensitive subjects.
Rating: NC-17
Authoress note: I have changed aspects. I am
aware Alucard’s eyes are a soft grey-ish colour, I was however inspired to
change this as I have been before in my other fics.

Chapter Three
The man Franz entrusted
At first he constantly tried to
return home, He ran to the docks several times but every time he was brought
back, beaten and told he was home, after the first year or so he came to
believe it, he forgot everything about his mother, father and home, he became
Adrian Baker.
His aversion to sunlight was
waning, along with the nausea at entering chapels, although he did burn easily
and still feel the antipathy at entering a chapel.
However when he hit puberty his
more demonic side became physically visible.
He was of course sent to a doctor.

“well
from the sounds of it his symptoms are most unusual, you say he comes from a
different land yes . . . well who knows with these backward godless countries I
wouldn’t be surprised if it were the throw backs from demonic possession. . .
may I see the child” an elderly doctor asks Marian and Herbert
“
A
pail boy of fifteen with long ivory hair enters the room and sits upon the
wooden table.
“So
this is
“He’s
always been like that” Marian puts forward “but recently . . .”
“Ah
yes” the doctor lifts Adrian’s hands showing long, pointed ebony fingernails, “these
we can cut”
However
after many attempts and two pairs of broken scissors they give up
“Very
well” the doctor continues the examination turning up with unbreakable
fingernails, pointed elf like ears, amethyst coloured eyes where they were once
copper, and some inhuman dentistry.
“I
do believe my earliest conclusion was correct” the elderly doctor sits back “this
boy has obviously suffered from his lack of Christian faith making his soul
weak and easily possessed, I would not be surprised if he spent his entire
young days the victim of strange daemons, it is hardly surprising that his body
would develop physical signs”
“Is
there anything we can do” Herbert Baker asks
“Does
the boy attend church” the doctor asks
“Of
course”
“Then
no, as long as his soul is purified he is fine, these physical signs may or may
not fade it all depends on the lord’s will” the Doctor concluded

The
morning sun rose quietly, bringing light down onto a large scholarly building.
The light shines through a window, left open to the night’s warm air, into a room
holding two students.
In
the bed next to his a young man with short cut brown hair and a slightly muscular
build sits up blinking unfocusedly, rubbing the sleep from his eyes he smirks
at the lump on the other bed and stands. Moving to the window he shuts the
curtains before wandering into the adjoining bathroom.
Once
the bathroom door closes a loud thump is heard causing
“Uh
. . .” is the intelligent reply
“you
guys awake yet” the voice of Louis comes from behind the closed doorway to the
room, the bathroom door opens and Artemis emerges as Adrian collapses back onto
his mattress.
“I’m
awake but
“Well
hurry up you two, we’ll wait for you in the dinning hall” Louis’ voice portrays
the smile on his face, his footsteps echo down the hall.
“You
heard the man Adrian, get up” Artemis gently kicks the bottom of
“You
people just don’t understand the meaning of Saturday”
“Yeah
well if you went to bed at a normal time you wouldn’t have this problem”
Artemis scolds
“You
sound like Marian” the words are muffled as a shirt is pulled over head
“I
was told to look after you . . . now boy brush your hair and I want you to eat
a healthy breakfast and make sure you wash your face oh and no running around
until forty minuets after breakfast we don’t want you getting cramps now do we”
Artemis ordered trying to make his voice high and feminine
“You’re
not funny”

“Heavens
above you guys take as long as girls to get ready” Simon snaps as Adrian and
Artemis sit down to breakfast
“Yeah
well
“Not
before you did your make up”
“It’s
too early for your banter” Jonathan mutters flopping boneless next to Louis “it’s
Saturday for crying out loud”
“Finally
some one who understand the sacred law of Saturday”
“Two
a clock you’ll have slept half the day away and look at it” Louis pointed out
of one of the long windows “its perfect weather for being outside . . .”
“Here
we go” Artemis whispers as Louis launches into his usual ‘it’s a wonderful life
lecture’

The university had funded for a
camping trip as many of the students had been raised in the city and had only
seen cobble stones and bricks, it was thought healthy for them to see the
country and to try and live a simple life for a few days.
Many students willingly sighed up
and some were sighed up against there will,
The camping trip was where things
went wrong. Since
Adrian had discovered the hunger a
few months prior and was considering making it known to his adoptive parents
thinking it part of his ‘disease’ but had decided against it, people were
hanged for less, ‘I would just deal with this on my own’ had been his thoughts,
however he found himself unable to deal with it and had been slipping badly as
of late. The rat population had decreased rapidly along with cats and the
occasional dog.
However he found it impossible to make
himself feel disgust at what he had done, lord knows he did try, he lay awake
at night telling himself what he did was evil, wrong and disgusting, all the
things everyone else would think, but he didn’t feel evil and he wasn’t discussed
with himself. Swallowing a life even a Rat’s made him feel a little less alone.
The camping trip was where he was
enlightened.

“aren’t
you hot” Simon nudge Adrian as they dismounted and let there horses lose in a
field “I mean, coat, boots and gloves Adrian look around you I see lose shirts
and rolled up trousers”
“Back
off Simon” Artemis snapped before looking to Adrian whom had raised a pail
eyebrow at his roommate’s defensive nature
“Relax
Art I was only asking” Simon muttered Artemis shrugged.
The
group walked back to the main body of tents, which were pitched by a lake
“Should
we check the traps” Louis asked
“We
only set them half an hour ago” Simon smiled at his friends’ eagerness
“Well
I’m famished, we could walk there by foot that would take longer” Louis almost
begged
The
group relented easily; Louis wasn’t the only hungry one. The traps had been set
a little way off from camp, they had noticed a rabbit burrow hidden under a
small thicket and had hidden wires in the foliage, however setting the wires
hadn’t been easy and they’d made enough noise to frighten anything within two
miles away, least to say no one was hopeful.
“If
we’d have brought the hawks this would have been easier”
“We
don’t even know if it failed yet” Artemis pointed out as the group emerged into
where they had set traps “thank heavens for small miracles” Artemis voiced
spotting the rabbit caught in a wire.
“Is
one going to be enough there is four of us” Louis asked looking doubtful as he
held up the rabbit, the thing was practically skin and bones.
“It’ll
have to be” Simon shrugged “we’ve only got one”
As
they were talking surprisingly a second rabbit exploded from a tunnel and raced
away through the thicket, acting on pure reaction
“You’ll
never catch it” Artemis yelled
Without
thinking
Tearing
through the bushes instantly he had a rhythm to his movement, he can hear his
own footfalls and the rabbits, thumping through the forest, sounds of panic and
elation. He smiled widely feeling as if a weight is lifted, tension seems to
melt from his body leaving only the sensation of movement. The rabbit is fast
but he is faster, he leaps sending himself tumbling, gloved fingers gripping
tightly to the struggling form of the rabbit.
Two
pairs of eyes watched the retreating form of
“It’s
him, I know it is”
“You
can’t be sure”
“Oh
come on just look at him, the way he moves, the way he looks, he is the lord’s
son”
“But
I don’t think . . .”
“You
never do, Sam! We’ve found the lords son!”
“Crysta
we haven’t
‘Sam
don’t you dare speak like that! That boy is
“Crysta
. . .”
“Samuel!
He was going to eat the rabbit before you just had to sneeze” Crysta snapped
“It
could have been a different vamp . . .” Samuel began but was interrupted again
“Sam
you know its
* * * *
“You
actually caught it!” Simon snapped as
“Yes,
it was luck really it must have been old or hurt, possibly it had that disease
where they go blind”
“
“Oh
. . . yes I’m fine”
“You
feel guilty over killing a rabbit” Louis asked, trying in vain to hold down a
snigger.
“Um
. . .”
“Aww
did the bunny cry” Louis sniggered before
“Lets
just eat it”
