Rear Suspension |
To improve handling I am upgrading the suspension. Old rusty u bolts are a pain to remove with wrenches so I decided to cut them off with a torch. Trick is to keep the flame off the fuel tank.Above is the factory spring mount with rubber bushings. The bushings were a new design in 73 and although it helped quiet the ride, it did nothing for handling.. My plan, install heavy duty big block springs and replace some of the rubber mounts with solid spacers. Goal: Firm Feel! |
