Iain is Scottish, and typical at that. Stubborn, heroic and duty and honor bound by his word alone. He is twenty-six and Elisabeth's elder by four years. His father is the Earl of Brae Ard, Laird Leathan of the castle Glenlora. Before Iain was born the Earl was involved in a scandal that stripped him of his MacGregor titled and James banned the clan forever, well atleast until Iain has it reinstated by his undaunting courage and loyalty to Charles.
Iain is handsome, a silky rising from the sea his mother called him as a child. His long hair is raven black and usually pulled in a messy queue at the nape of his neck. As a spy he rarely wears a kilt, but when he does he defies the bann on MacGregor and dons the tartan of his real name. He is a cavelier in the truest style; dark cloak with a cowl to hide from his enemies. A sword with swashbuckling ornate hilt. He wears his sghein dhu as well, tucked in the boots that fold to his knees. He is tall, and towers over many who stand with him in his adventures. His Scottish lilt is most defined when he speaks with his right-hand man Duncan McInnes, his uncle and adaopted father. He is trained in other languages and speaks them with the ease and grace of a court spy. |
