Indult Seminary of the Fraternity of St. Peter, Wigratzbad, Germany

The Fraternity of St. Peter was founded by a dozen priests and a score of seminarians who left from the Society of St.Pius X immediately after the Society's founder, Abp. Lefebvre, consecrated four bishops in disobedience to John Paul II in July 1988. The Fraternity are a community of priests who do not take religious vows, but who work together for a common mission in the world, viz., the formation and sanctification of priests in the cadre of the traditional Roman Liturgy, and the pastoral deployment of the priests in the service of the Church. The Fraternity has two seminaries of priestly formation: Wigratzbad, Germany (diocese of Augsburg), and Denton, Nebraska, U.S.A. (diocese of Lincoln). They are the biggest fraternity of traditionalist priests working within the indult movement today.

In preparation for the priesthood these young men are being tonsured.
