I have ever had many cats, but now there is only one, Mike, he was born in June, 1998. A Gemini.

The first cat in my home is Mimi. He is not only a cat, but also our sport partner, study companion, and my spritual guide. Yes, spiritual guide. I find that by watching how he moves, you can learn lots of wisdoms of life. Cats are always elegant, proud, confident, curious and satisfied; and they are inborn diplomats. Mimi often jumped on our guest's knees and maked them felt like home. No wonder doctors say pets are good to people's mental health.

Mike is Mimi's child. When Mike was a kitten, he was obviously bigger than his brothers, and he has shown his unusual independent character. Mike rarely followed people like other cats. We thought he would grow up as a super cat, but suprisingly, he simply turns into a normal size, even smaller cat.

This cat just looks like Mimi...
This cat looks just like Mimi.
This is Mikiki. Sitting on the top of our TV as usual, very warm and easy to be noticed, just ignored my camera completely. (Jan. 2002) ^_^" Well done, Mikiki!

Mike's mother is a gray-and-blue Persian, and Mimi is a white crossbreed handsome fellow. But Mike was born to be a lovely orange tabby. His "personality" is as bright as his color. I think he never feels sorry for his naughty behaviors, nor does he show any signs of  melancholy; except when he is left home alone for a long time (more than one week).

Last winter our house was under repair, so we put him in another empty place which is just two minutes to walk from ours. He fled back soon from that house and rather lived in a messy noisy place than that quiet lonely room. How did he manage to escape from that well locked apartment? It still remains as a mystery. Mike was particularly afraid of being left alone afterwards, but after the decoration finished and we all moved back, he recovered his free nature right away.

Cats are all different. Mimi is somewhat emotional and sensitive; but Mike is quite the opposite. Mike has a bright, healthy outlook of life. He always cheers me up by just showing his indifferent attitude like "nothing is important while I am sleeping (or eating)". According to my experiences, I believe that even cats have varied natural temperaments. Maybe that could be seen as the so-call soul?
