This Tyranny! WebQuest has been designed for a specific  Government class at Chaparral High School in LasVegas, Nevada. It has been written with the intent of being a "warm up" to another project involving students researching and discussing political events in another "character."

There were four main goals of this particular WebQuest:

1. An alternative way for students to research and understand the design and intent of the Constitution, and the controversy surrounding it.
2. As an introduction to students to learn to discuss political theory in other "characters." This leads up to an activity where students will again hold a "roundtable" discussion, but discussing current topics from the perspective of an intellectual from previous eras - something on the order of Steve Allen's "Meeting of the Minds."
3. Giving students the opportunity for guided practice using the Internet to research topics of academic interest.
4. To re-enforce collaborative learning and alternative assessment activities. Students will be working in collaborative groups, then coming together to perform a large task as one large group. The next activity will involve working in an interdisciplinary project; combining topics from Government with Literature.
