Orion Tristan Malfoy was born Thursday, January 1st, 2004 at 12:11 am.

Orion weights 3.78 kg and is 54.95 centimeters long.

The birth took place at Malfoy Manor, with mid-wife Padma Patil in attendance. 

Orion is welcomed into the family by his brother Tyl Lucius age 1.

The maternal grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Weasley of Ottery St. Catchpole Devon, England.

The paternal grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. Lucius Malfoy of Wiltshire, England.

The newborns Christening being planned for early March. 

Both mother and baby are doing well.

Little Orion Malfoy is the second son of Ginevra and Draco Malfoy, but he was the first wizard or witch born in England this year.  Orion was born at 12:11 am, his birth was the talk at the Parkinson annual New Years Party.  

"It was so exciting." expressed Mrs. Pansy Zabini.  "Ginny wasn't due for three more weeks.  Blaise and I had just joined them at the table when she had the first contraction."

"They left quietly but when a Malfoy house elf come to get Lucius and Narcissa an hour later the ballroom was a buzz this new baby talk."  relied Charles Parkinson.  "Everyone knew the couple would have a number of children but we're surprised they've had two in only 22 months.  That's fast even for a Weasley."

Laughing Mr. Blaise Zabini added, "Draco blamed Ginny's healer on the pregnancy."  More laughing from Mr. Zabini at Rose Parkinson's shocked face.  "The healer told Ginevra, she couldn't get pregnant as long as she was nursing Tyl."  Stops laughing, "Don't get me wrong.  Draco and Ginny are very happy to have Orion.  They're hoping to have three children.  They were hoping to get Tyl out of nappies before having their second."  

Once again, I was lucky to catch Mr. D. Malfoy at our offices dropping Orion's birth announcement off.  Mr. Malfoy was accompanied by his 1 year-old son, Tyl.  Mr. Malfoy appeared to be a tired but a very happy father of two.  He yawned a couple of times showing has wariness, but he's patience was intact.   

Tyl was a bundle of energy, bouncing on his father's hip, and informing the desk clerk after she addressed Mr. Malfoy, "No, Tyl da...dee."  He calmed down his son gentle and went back to talking to the clerk.  When he handed the clerk Orion's picture, Tyl started bounce again saying.  "Tyl bof, Tyl bof, Tyl bof, Tyl bof"   Mr. Malfoy quieted the boy by rubbing his back, smiling at the boy, and saying, "Yes, that's Orion.  He's your brother."    

Mr. Malfoy did not have time for an interview, but he did make a statement.  "My wife and new son are doing fabulous.  We're both a little tired but when we get the boys to naps at the same time things will go smother."

Young Master Tyl Malfoy is very verbal and bright for a one year old.  When Mr. Malfoy mentioned a nap, his son started shaking his head.  Once he'd finished speaking, Tyl chimed in, "NO...  NO...   Tyl no nap....   Peas Da..Dee   We pay...  pawk."  

Walking out of the Prophet offices, Mr. Malfoy replied, "We'll go play in the park, mate.  If you have a lay down, when we get home."
