Mr. and Mrs. Draco Malfoy of
Wiltshire, England, proudly announce the birth of their third child, a healthy
son.
Pyxis Fabian Malfoy was born Monday, October 31st, 2005 at 7:34 pm. Pyxis weights 3.95 kg and is 54.70 centimeters long. The birth took place at Malfoy Manor, with mid-wife Padma Patil in attendance. Pyxis is welcomed into the family by his two brothers, Tyl Lucius who will be 3 in December, and Orion Tristan who will be 2 in January. The maternal grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Weasley of Ottery St. Catchpole Devon, England. The paternal grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. Lucius Malfoy of Wiltshire, England. The newborn's Christening being planned for mid-December. Both mother and baby are doing well. |
A Party to Remember

The Ministry of Magic's children's Halloween Feast was celebrated at Godric's Hollow as has been tradition since the last war. The party which doubles as a fundraiser for the 7 year old wizarding orphanage started at 3 pm with the lighting of the Celtic bonfires and lasted until 10 pm. The feast was well attended by everyone with young children in wizarding England. The press was only allowed photos until 3:30 pm. It was not surprising that certain families do not arrive until after 3:30 pm
Mr. & Mrs. Harry Potter were one of these families. They arrived shortly before 4 pm. Mr. & Mrs. Ronald Weasley arrived with them. The young couples each have one son. Mrs. Potter is expecting their second child next month. Mrs. Hermione Weasley is due the month after with their second child.
"It looks like you're going to make a substantial amount of galleons for the Orphanage this year." said Mr. Potter. "It's just a shame an orphanage is needed."
"It's nice that the wizarding child can be with each other, and not in a muggle orphanage." added Mrs. Potter, who grow up in a muggle orphanage in America. "When you're a young witch or wizard it's hard to hide your magic all the time. "
"It makes it easier on the Ministry too" replied Mr. Ronald Weasley. "The Accidental Magic Reversal Squad was going to one muggle orphanage or another almost daily."
"They're all lovely children. This event also helps potential parents to find the right child." added Mrs. Hermione Weasley.
James Potter had ran to the Weasley family on arrival, moments later he returned very disappointed. Mr. Potter's young son was unable to find his favorite playmates, Tyl and Orion Malfoy. (The fact James favors the Malfoy boys over Ron Weasley's son "Harry Ronald" is annoying to Mr. Potter.) Mr. and Mrs. Fred Weasley's family joins us. "They'll be here soon, James." stated Fred Weasley. "Malfoy and Ginny started this round." He chuckles looking at the three very pregnant witches.
The Weasley family, which the Potters are considered part of, are expecting five babies in the next four months. Mrs. Anne Weasley, wife of Charlie, and Mrs. Ginerva Malfoy are the other witches in the family expecting. The young Malfoy couple's close friends, Blaise and Pansy Zabini are also expecting their first child in November. The three families made their way to the other Weasley family members.
Appearing moments before the games started Mr. Draco Malfoy entered the ballroom with his two young sons dropping them off with Mrs. Molly Weasley before leave again. Rumors that his wife, Ginevra was in labor circulated the party.
The Weasley family tried their best to stop the rumors. Mrs. Molly Weasley stated, "Ginny is only tired. She is due next week you know. I know first hand how tiring it is to chase two toddlers when you are in your last month."
"My brother-in-law's a little over protective of Ginny especially when she's in the family way." said Percy Weasley, head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation. "Although it's nice to know my only sister is being looked after."
"Pampers her is what he does." added Charlie Weasley. "Never drinks more than one meade with us before he's rushing home."
"That's when he's drinking with us. I'm sure he has more than one when he's out with his mate.." Auror Ronald Weasley replies.
"Daddy's mates come Manor." Tyl informed his uncles. "He no drink lot meade. He fire whiskey."
Bill Weasley, Vice President Gringotts Corporate Business Loans, shooed his young nephew away. "He doesn't trust anyone to look after her, when she's not feeling well."
The Weasleys' and Potters' excused themselves and took their children along with the two Malfoy boys to the games.
In Celebration of Pomona, goddess of the trees and fruits, children and parents take part in Apple Bobbing. Other games were, quaffle toss, catch the snitch, and broom races. Congratulations to the following winners:

The Weasley clan dominated these games. If family tradition holds out Gryffinder house will be unbeatable in the next decade. Tyl Malfoy was only seconds behind James Potter in the catch the snitch. They may be fighting for the spot of seeker on the team.
Lucius Malfoy had collected his grandsons after they completed their Broom obstacle course. Minutes later Mrs. Molly Weasley returned to the Ministry party, "He's so beautiful." she cried to her family. "Ginny is doing very well."
This was the arrival of her 19th grandson, but you couldn't tell. The entire family was very excited for the couple. The only information the Weasleys' would give was, Mrs. Ginevra Malfoy had a baby boy at 7:30 and both she and the baby were doing well. The large family departed after arranging who would visit Mrs. Malfoy tonight and which would go in the morning.
The birth of the newest Malfoy added to an already exciding event which raised over 10,000 galleons for the orphanage.
