" Are you sure he will be here?" Takuya asks dubiously as he peers over the low wall hiding them. For as far as he can see, the sea is empty.

" Positive. He will be here rain or shine whenever he is not working."

Tsuyoshi stretches his neck and peers over the wall too but his stare is fixed on the scrunched up figure sitting near the edge of the water where they left him. The sight pains him as Goro was like a brother to him too. After not seeing him for so many years, the shock of seeing the once slim but healthy youth reduced to sickly thinness and spotting an unhealthy pallor nearly knocked him off his feet with grief.

" Will he be here soon?" Takuya hisses impatiently when he saw his brother pulled his body tighter together and even bury his head behind his folded arms to fight the cold.

For miles around Tsuyoshi only see the empty sea. When he turned towards the lone figure on the beach, he saw Goro scrunching his body tighter and together against the strong winds. Just as he was feeling very tempted to "rescue" Goro, Takuya shot up from his sitting position.

" Where are you going?" Tsuyoshi hisses as he grabbed Takuya's hand.

" Let go of me!" Takuya hissed back as he struggles with his friend. " Goro is too sick to withstand this kind of cold!"

" Just a while longer!" Tsuyoshi insists.

" No! My brother will die if we leave him out there any longer!" Takuya growled.

They were still struggling when Tsuyoshi caught sight of a familiar figure among the waves. " He's here!"

Forgetting their struggle, Takuya dropped to his feet out of sight as they watch. Sunlight played merrily on the waves and threw themselves off the lone surfer's blond hair. Expertly the surfer rode the waves as they stood up and march steadily towards him.

" Told you he is avant garde." Tsuyoshi answers the questioning look on Takuya's face.

In dead silence they watched him walk away from the edge of the water dragging his heavy board after him. Water beads scattered in all directions as he shook his head of wiry hair vigorously. It didn't take him long to notice the lonely figure sitting at the water edge letting the waves run over his feet. To Tsuyoshi's satisfaction, he starts to make his way towards Goro.

" Hello there! It's a beautiful day today, isn't it?" He starts flamboyantly. " My name's Shingo. What's yours?"

Goro's head flinched sharply and he stares at the friendly stranger with wide frightened eyes. He dug his hands into the soft sand and starts to shiver.

What a beautiful creature, Shingo thought to himself. But why is there so much grief in his eyes? Instinctively he moves towards him, wanting to quench his curiosity.

" Don't come near me! No!" Goro starts to scream. " No!"

Startled by the screams, Shingo recoiled. His professionalism made him realize that he needs to exercise severe caution.

" Don't be frightened! I mean no harm!" Shingo tries to pacify.

" Leave me alone!" Goro begged tearfully. " Please~"

Instinctively Shingo took another step back but that did not pacify the hysterical creature. " Go away! Leave me alone!"

Takuya can hear his brother screaming and he would have run forward to protect him if Tsuyoshi isn't holding onto him for dear life. He never expected Tsuyoshi to be as strong as he tries to fight him off. Suddenly Takuya stops and so does Tsuyoshi. The silence is eerie.
