It had been so long since he made me cry. But this time round I was moved to tears, they are tears of enormous pride.

Scaling a mountain couldn't have been a leisure activity for someone suffering from vertigo. But he is an artiste, an entertainer, a member of the masculine species no less. If he is going to climb the mountain, he is going to do it with a brave smile.

He hid his fears and anxieties well, perhaps his fascination with his new surroundings helped to offset some of the uncomfortable feelings within him. It was on the last few rungs of the ladder that he finally broke down. I hated the sickening feeling of helplessness washing over me as I took on once again the role of a bystander. As he lowered his head to combat the sickness in his stomach, I felt as if I am struggling without success against bindings on my hands and legs.

You have to go on! You cannot give up at the last few steps! Don't let yourself dangle in the "what-if" realm for the rest of your life.

Once again, this incredible man reminded me how strong his will can be. He moved his legs and climbed onto the flat surface of the peak! I almost weep...not out of worry because I knew he made it safely; not out of relief because I never doubted him; yes out of pride that he has pushed his limits and won the challenge! He has yet another memorable achievement to mark his transition to his 30's era. And he has given his fans another reason to walk tall with pride.

But my tears held up pretty well through their singing of the nursery rhymes and the champagne toasting. I was just as excited to see that it wasn't relief on his face, it was glowing with pure exquisite success.

What snared me was the song " Namida Sou Sou" ~ I always loved the song with extreme biase but to hear SMAP sing it formally brings it to another level altogether. I think they really respect the song for what it is and what it stands for. His voice, when singing the song, was so gentle and clear, trinkling like a running brook. That broke my dam and my tears came gushing out unhibited.

A man with an iron will, and an angelic voice. He's my angel, Inagaki Goro ~
