organization serving Chinese Americans in Hampton Roads of Virginia.
Our Mission
The Chinese Community Association of Hampton Roads is
organized for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes,
including the education of its members and the general public about
Chinese culture and history.
Organization Profile
The Chinese Community Association of Hampton Roads was the vision of
several community leaders, over thirty-five years ago, to establish a
community center whereby members and the general public can learn more
about the Chinese culture and its heritage. In 1990, the only Chinese
community center of Hampton Roads was erected. This new facility allowed
the CCAHR to provide more services to its members and a headquarter where
educational and cultural activities are organized. The Chinese community
has been and will be a major contributor to cultural festivals throughout
the Hampton Roads area. Hampton Roads has depended on the Chinese
Community Association for many years to help them understand the Chinese
culture.
