Researcher for hire can confirm all medals. Official Goverment Medal Roll of all recepients exists and in many cases reveals dates dispatched and the address where sent. Mr. Donald KLANCHER has also recently published a complete medal roll of the NWMP recepients.

1. SERVICE FILES NWC There are no known service files for those who served except for members of the North West Mounted Police (NWMP). Military units sent to Western Canada (known as North West Territories) were mainly Militia and only documents available are pay records of the units. The conflict is well documented in many books. A medical account exists and details those who were wounded and movement and recovery progress.

2. LAND GRANTS Canadian Government offered land grants to qualifying Militia personnel. Veterans had to apply giving details of where and when served and present address where to be contacted. NWMP were later offered land grants but could accept script in lieu of the grant.
