Today's Program: 5th May 2007 We have got up at 6.30 am and had breakfast at 7.30 am. At 8.30 am we left for Tianmen Square. It was a fantastic sight. We saw Chairman Mao's memorial in the Tianmen Square and the Chinese Parliament. After this we entered the Forbidden City. It was a long but rewarding walk as we saw the insides of the Forbidden city and listened to the explanations given by our Guide Mr Tony. After the long walk through forbidden city and many of its palaces we had Lunch a a superb Chinese restaurant. The Vegetarians got Finger Chips, Cabbage, Beans, Spinach, Fried Rice, Brocelli, Russain Salad and Sweet corn soup to top it with Cake and watermalon fruits. Each one was also served one cold drink each. After Lunch we visited the famous Beijing Zoo. All of us saw the Giant Panda and other animals of the zoo. Finally we have just returned to the Hotel and are resting before going out for dinner. |
