Geof Darrow has a ultra detailed, highly technical style. He's really really good with machines and mechanical type stuff. Nobody can draw a car being ripped apart like Geof. I first saw his stuff in Hard Boiled #1 (cover on the left), which I lost somehow, and then in Big Guy and Rusty. I could stare at his work for hours, it's so intricate and beautiful. these pics don't really give it that much credit, all the really fine details can't be seen. He's teamed up with another favorite of mine, Frank Miller and they've made some absolutely wonderful stuff. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you check some of his stuff out. I guess he designed alot of the stuff from the Matrix. There's a book called "art of the matrix" out that shows sketchs and stuff.. |
