Five Years Laters. You've Got to Accentuate the Positive.
> After recreating and modernizing this website I did a little reflecting and thought about how much I've changed in the past five years. When I went back and read some of my really old blog entries and I couldn't believe how down they were. I really must say that I've changed a lot since college and even more so since high school. I used to be pestimistic, get depressed and loath myself. But for what reason. Since then and especially in the past year I've realized that there is no point in feeling that way. You might as well try and be happy with the time you got on this earth. There maybe some low points in life but ultimately life isn't a sob story and you might as well be optimistic. Thats what I think. So if I've burnt some bridges and have trashed the past its because I've wanted to distance myself from who/what I was and the people who assisted in making me become that way.
Now I feel better. Fitter. Happier. Well, maybe not fitter but older and perhaps a little wiser but nonetheless better and happier, and it feels good (like the 80s song). Boom-shaka-laka. And so 2007 has become my renaissance. Now I just have to find my female muse (knock on wood). I take it Jenny Lewis is not available :) Despite that things look up.
