despite multiple group efforts the people i work with and myself have not won the powerball jackpot just yet, i guess that means i can't retire to the north of france as soon as i'd like. nevertheless, england is still within my sights.
if i disappeared would anyone know
sometimes i wonder what would happen if i disappeared into the fog or walked into the thames with pocket full of rocks. unfortunately life is not that romantic, ever. so i'll just surrender to the night and wait for winter to creep in. brilliant moonlight snow blindness and depressingly never ending bone chilling weather. tell me am i right to think that there could be nothing better.

every once in a while you'll have one of those really really good dreams you wake up feeling strangely fulfilled. last night i dreamt i was with this girl i knew in high school named jessie (i only mention her name her because the last time i saw her was in high school and i'll probably never see her again) and i don't know where we were but we were just laying down somewhere in dreamland and i was holding her in my arms. and thats it, nothing else happend. it was nice. strange but nice. i probably have a much better memory of her than i should... not that she wasn't nice... i'll just stop talking now.
concert of the year (and i wasn't there)
today i was reading the nation's finest newpaper aka the onion and saw that the arcade fire and wolf parade were going to play at first ave on thursday so i think to myself, 'holy shit!, who am i going to call to come with me to the concert?!?!' and then i read 'september 29th'... damn it! so i probably missed the best concert of the year. i'll just have to get franz ferdinand's new album on tuesday which will in no way even come close to making up for what i just missed, but its an attempt to allieviate the pain.

snow patrol: final straw (2004) -vs- idlewild: warnings / promises (2005)
out of ten total points between the two albums 6.5 goes to snow patrol while the remaining 3.5 points go to idlewild. from these well produced albums (snow patrol with polyfor, idlewild with capital) final straw comes out on top. despite some upbeat songs, at the end of the day the more 'heartfelt' and memorable songs are not so joyful like snow patrol's 'run' and idlewild's 'love steals us from loneliness'. (pitchfork ratings, sp: 6.7, i: 6.2)

heather (nome) has brought it to my attention that h&m will be opening a store at the mall of america. this benefits me in no way seeing how i shopped at mainly marks & spencers, uniqlo, and topman. i guess its a step in the right direction for the largest mall in the united states.
