About CONTRARY What is it? CONTRARY is a fanlisting for fans of Chakotay fan fiction: gen, het, slash, etc. Where did it come from?
The term comes from the second season episode, Tattoo. In a flashback scene featuring a young Chakotay and his father, Kolopak, Kolopak calls Chakotay a contary:
"From the day you came out of your mother, upside down," he says, "I knew the Spirits had chosen you to be a Contary."
The young Chakotay replies, "No one chooses for me. I choose my own way. And if that makes me a Contary, then I'll have to live with it." |
