World I Call Home
tune: "Mull of Kintyre"

In our home quadrant, they called me Maquis
And I fought the good fight, my people to free
Though small was my vessel, full bold was my crew
And we offered our all, just as warriors should do

Chorus:
World I call home, far past this horizon
Though lifelong I roam, I'll not set my eyes on
The world I call home

I once was in Starfleet, staunch, loyal, and true
Did what my officers said I should do
Then with the Cardassians a treaty was made
My world was abandoned, and I was betrayed
(Chorus)

For peace, said the Fed'ration, your world must fall
So I said, to hell with the Feds, Fleet and all
I found the Maquis, and a rebel became
Then commanded a ship of those who felt the same
(Chorus)

We fought the Cardassians, battled Starfleet
Struggled in victory, bled in defeat
We were hunted and harassed wherever we roamed
All for our defense of the worlds we called home
(Chorus)

A Cardassian starship, it tried us to take
We fled to the Badlands in hope of escape
But Caretaker yanked us out to his Array
And we could not fly home, not in many a day
(Chorus)

Now I'm Starfleet again and my people are too
We've joined the ship Voyager, part of her crew
In vast Delta Quadrant, we are not alone
And together we'll seek out the worlds we call home
(Chorus)
