| A DAY TO HONOR AND REMEMBER, | |||||||
| NOT CELEBRATE! | |||||||
| May 30th.should be Memorial day and not moved to give us a three day weekend. Those who we honor on this day never had weekends. War never had weekends as every day was the same. This day was ment to be only to honor the best of what Americans were and should be To honor those who gave up the most important thing we all have OUR LIVES, for our FREEDOM! There are many other hardships they had to endure, as other combat Veterans know only too well. We all take things for granted like a warm bed to sleep in. They slept in muddy trenches of WW1,bloody beaches of WW2,cold hard ground of Korea and the rice paddies of Vietnam!I could go on and on, but I hope you got the picture! | |||||||
| I ask all to remember them the next time you think that you have it rough. So say thanks to those great Americans called, AIRMEN, MARINES, SAILORS and SOLDIERS! That's what this day was set aside for, not a big sales day or a 3 day weekend! Please never forget what those we honor today gave up and we enjoy now. We all have Freedom and life, lets thank those who gave up theirs for us! | |||||||
| May God bless them. I know He is looking over them. So as you go your separate ways I ask one small favor. That in the back of your mind save a little space to always remember the price they paid for us. Lets take good care of what they died for. | |||||||
