CCFN Strategic Planning Workshop
May 6 and 7, 2002

In the coming months, we will see and hear more about the CCFN's Strategic Plan as we document it and share it with the community for understanding and additional input. 
This session, was the second in a series of VisionQuest 2002 member-focused events sponsored by the CCFN Council. Read on to learn more about this particular session.

Brian Ritchie, the workshop facilitator, is a CCFN member. Brian has experience in mechanical design in the heavy equipment industry, process engineering, production management and project management in the steel industry, research, design, development, marketing and sales experience in the computer software arena, and solutions integration at companies such as ChangePoint, Oracle Corp, and Ericsson Canada.

He has several years experience is financial management and governance as a Director and Vice President of a large credit union, and President and General Manager of a software development company.

As a private consultant, Brian has presented seminars, workshops and training sessions to organizations in Pulp & Paper, Mining, Metals, Power generation, and Health Services industries to name a few.

The objectives of the two-day workshop were to:

  • Identify the values that guide CCFN members.
  • Refine the vision and goals for the future.
  • Identify challenges particular to the CCFN.
  • Develop a set of measurable objectives consistent our goals and values.
  • Identify a process to gather feedback and support for the plan.
  • Set a course that can be followed for the next 3 - 5 years.
