Asuming you've already made the Simply Sock Edging, you already know how many single crochets you're going to add to your sock for round 1.  String the same number of beads as single crochets.

Round 1 Unfold sock so that the right side is facing you.  Attach the thread with a single crochet.
Single crochet LOOSELY all around the edge of your sock.  Make sure you have an EVEN number of single crochets.Join with a slip stitch to your first single crochet.

Round 2 Chain 3, make 1 double crochet in same stitch, chain 1, pull up a bead, make 2 more double crochets in same stitch.  Work (2 double crochets, pull up a bead, chain 1, 2 double crochets in the next stitch) all around.  Join with a slip stitch to top of the Chain 3 you made at the beginning.  Cut thread and weave into a double crochet.

For toddlers and older, work Round 2 with treble crochets instead.
