U R The Heart Of Kin. I would like start off by letting everyone know you can contact me any time with any questions that you may have about Service and I will do my best to answers them. I would like to encourage all Clubs Old members and New Members to not only to take an active part in your clubs service project, and if your club does not have a project for any of the Service project listed below, I would encourage you as a Kin Member in District 7 to take an active part in our service projects and awards, small or large if the project only has a profit of $50.00 IT ALL HELPS. Remember U R THE HEART OF KIN. LIST OF PROJECT: 1. Multiple Sclerosis District Project (We are entering our 29th. Year we have raised over Two Million Dollars) 2. Cystic Fibrosis National Project ( We partnership back in 1964 and our contribution to CCFF of $33 Million) 3. HREF National Project (Hal Rogers Endowment Fund, Bursaries for Students in Post Secondary Education) 4. Children’s Trust Fund District Project (“Pennies from Heaven” the CTF is coming off its most successful year to date with KIN help to date more than $25,000 was collected this past year) 5. Kin- ODAC National Awareness Project (This is an Kin Organ Donator Awareness Campaign requires no Fundraising) 6. National Disaster Fund (International Disaster Funds) AWARDS: 1. Zone Service Awards (The Club in each zone that donates the most service money per capita.) 2. John Sears Service Award ( This award shall be awarder to the Kinsmen, Kinette or Kin Club in District 7 who contributes the most amount of money per member. Based on Feb. Census of current Kin Year. 3. Kevin Denbok Memorial Service Award (It is awarded to Kinsmen, Kinette, Kin Club in District 7 that contributes the greatest amount of money to C.F. 4. Ed White Service Award (To be eligible for this Award a Club shall have undertaken or supported a Service Project within the qualifying dates Specified in the Hal Rogers National Service Shield Rules, the Service Project need not be completed within the same year in which it is commenced.) 5. District 7 Kinette Service Award (Judging shall be based on the rules for the Elspeth Rogers National Service Award.) 6. Joe Beaton Memorial Service Award (Awarded to the Kinsmen Club who donates the most amount of money per member to the District Service Projects, CF & MS.) 7. Beth Jordan Memorial Service Award ( Awarded to the Kinette Club in District 7 that contributes the greatest amount of money per member for two District 7 Service Project, CF & MS) 8. HREF Hal Rogers Endowment Fund (For different amounts of money raised there are different awards member & Club) Please forward all cheques to our District Treasure, Faber MacKie all cheques payable to District Seven Kin and make a side note to indicate what cause the cheque is for. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE CHEQUES PAYABLE TO CF, MS, CTF and HREF etc….
