This is a typical dinnertime scene from the kitchen window of the apartment I lived in in Co-op City.
Truman High School is in the foreground, with the George Washington Bridge behind it. The lighted street at the upper right is Boston Post Road, near Eastchester Road; behind that on the horizon are buildings near Montefiore Hospital, and Tracey Towers near Bronx Science.

Map (from a similar City of New York publication, I believe) showing various American cities overlaid on areas with comparable populations. In other words, each of these neighborhoods would be a major city in its own right if it were located in flyover country. The map may be old, as it omits the more than 55,000 people in Co-op City.

Except for the Co-op City frequencies, most of these are wrong

I hope to have this corrected soon. I did verify some new frequencies on June 19, 1999.

The New York DX Association Shortwave & Scanner Listeners Net seems to have accurate lists as of December 1998. I hope to add the relevant Bronx and City-Wide frequencies from their table here soon.
