“The Stars Fell”, Revelation 6:13= Some say this refers to asteroids, so cannot be the beginning phase of the Rapture, that I believe is in Rev. 6:13-14, so I took out my Strong’s Concordance and accompanying Thayer’s Lexicon- stars, #792, “the star betokening his birth, the star of Messiah; by the figure of the seven stars which Christ holds in his right hand, which are signified the angels of the seven churches, under the direction of Christ; the morning star” (with splendor, shining and heavenly glory) Sounds like it could resemble the bridegroom and his attendants (Matt. 25) Other verses like Jude 13 can be comets off course, but not Rev. 6:13.
Fell, #4098= Revelation appears to mean “of descent from a higher place to a lower” (or the thing that is entered; or “into”). Other verses can mean cast, thrust down, etc.
So it appears these words can mean the descent of heavenly hosts, etc., for the Rapture. (Guess we’ll find out when the time comes.)
Daniel 9:27, KJV= “But he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” The Living Bible translates the “one week” to “seven years” and “that determined” to “in God’s time and plan”. When the pact was signed on September 13, 1993, I figured it could be the one. I have heard from prophecy leaders for a long time that the abomination of desolation would happen at exactly three and one half years into the seven years, so I was looking for the Rapture to happen any day, up until that point. Then when the 3 and ½ years actually passed, I looked up the Biblical meaning of “midst” or middle, and discovered it means any time during that time frame. I noticed that in many translations the “midst” is to be sometime after the first 3 and ½ years. Now the whole seven years has expired, so I had to rethink again. After digging out several Bible versions and massive numbers of definitions, here are some discoveries. The “seven years” could be an educated guess. It could be something just beyond that, as one definition was something that must be completed before it happens. Of course, even now we are approaching a time even past that! The pact, in the verse, is step one. Then for step two I discovered a couple of things about ceasing the sacrifices. There will definitely be a rebuilt temple, and perhaps this pertains to it. But the sacrifices don’t necessarily even have to start! According to some of my written discoveries, the Jews are simply told they aren’t even allowed to do it for the next three and one half years or half a week; there’s no indication they had to begin at all. (The blood sacrifices would now be further defilement of the temple, because Jesus became the final blood sacrifice, so I’m not sure this abomination will begin.) Then comes the Antichrist and his abomination of desolation. I discovered another interesting thing. The “he” or king who confirms the covenant at the beginning of the verse is not necessarily the same one who is the later mentioned abominator in the verse. We may be discussing two different men! The Amplified Bible = and (shall come) one who makes desolate…..These are just part of the interesting things I found; my guess is “in God’s time and plan” covers it. Also, regarding Daniel 9:27; in Daniel 11, you have some mentions of the holy covenant and again in Luke 1:72. Some say Dan. 9:27 is the same holy covenant, which refers to the covenant made with Abraham and Sarah, and the promised land mass of Israel in Genesis 12, etc. When you see “seed” mentioned in Genesis, it may not mean the Jews, but the singular seed of that line, Jesus! Looking up definitions does not refute the single seed, or Jesus, translation. So is the holy covenant of Daniel 11 and perhaps Daniel 9:27 the same one as Luke 1:72, and referring to Abraham and Sarah, Israeli land mass? Dake, in his Annotated Reference Bible, places the covenant of Dan. 9:27 alongside the “covenant with death, and with hell”, mentioned in Isaiah 28:15, because “it did not happen when Assyria invaded Judah and surrounded Jerusalem, or at any other time in Biblical history”, so he places it with Antichrist. Some reasoning, including mine, is that Ezekiel 38 and 39 will begin first, probably destroying even the Muslim dome of the rock mosque, and then Antichrist will come in and confirm the holy covenant for seven years, leaving the Jews to believe he is the promised messiah; he will later break it. How can this projection be accurate and still fit the scriptures? Suppose the “midst” of seven years happens only shortly after the confirmation, and that would leave only 3 and one half years, and some extra days, between the Rapture and the time Jesus comes back for the second coming! A whole seven years never occurs!!
Now moving on to the status of Jerusalem. Many believe Jerusalem should be the property of the United Nations, who could then disperse a portion for use to the Jews, the Muslims, tourism, Catholicism, etc., and have a form of Socialism, directed by the U.N., a sort of New World Order system! That would be a “peaceful” resolution. Here’s what I see in the Bible, though. Jerusalem has been the capital of the Hebrew monarchy and of the kingdom of Judah. God’s Biblical perspective is that she is the royal city, the capital of the only kingdom God has established among men and women. Here the temple was erected, and here alone during the kingdom age, were sacrifices legitimately offered. This was the city of the prophets, as well as the kings of David’s line. Here occurred the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ upon an assembled group in the city, the Holy Spirit (the third person of God, the Trinity) descended at Pentecost, giving birth to the Christian church. The most frequent name, apart from Jerusalem, is Zion, but there are, according to the rabbis, some 60 different names in the Bible. The greatest group of titles for this city are those which identify it as the city of God. The verses are so numerous that I won’t list them, but it is “the city of the great King, the city of Jehovah, the mountain of the Lord, the mountain of Jehovah of hosts, the holy mountain of Jehovah, Zion of the Holy one of Israel”. The Lord Himself refers to it, and to no other place, as “my city”, or “my holy mountain” . Because it is the city of God, where He has put His name on it, it is often referred to as the Holy City, and is also referred to as our eternal heavenly home at the end of the scriptures. There are more= Jerusalem is called “Hephzibah”, meaning “my delight is in her”. There are passages giving prophecies about Jerusalem during this present age and those days to come. Many foretold the Jewish return to Jerusalem, and how Jerusalem is specifically designated for this purpose. Another temple is to be built there, and there is a future 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ there, as well as a New Jerusalem, later. Look at how God will intervene when the troops from both the Eze. 38 & 39 gathering to take Jerusalem, and the Battle of Armageddon gathering for the same purpose happen! Which leads me back to the idea that the United Nations take the city. The view is that we should agree we all have an international right to Jerusalem, and she should be multi-religious. The U.N., the pope and many others are calling for just this! What a nice “tolerant” all inclusive idea, and oh, how peaceful! The Bible says that Jerusalem “will be trodden down of the Gentiles” (Luke 21:24) and this angers God. It states that the coming Antichrist will go into the rebuilt temple at Jerusalem and declare himself as God; this is called the abomination of desolation. God's anger will be demonstrated because of this attempt at international ownership of Jerusalem. Eze. 38 and 39 tells what will happen when troops try to take it over, and I believe that will happen soon, in conjunction with the Rapture. Just think, God’s supernatural intervention in the Ezekiel scenario, along with the Rapture! Wow. Anyone who doesn’t “get it” after that doesn’t want to get it! They will believe the Antichrist’s “peace and safety” lie, and curse the true God! Then the Battle of Armageddon will happen because kings of the east and from all over the earth will gather to take the city of Jerusalem. So you’re tampering with God’s one and only city, by making declarations regarding the future status of Jerusalem. It belongs to the Jews only, because God says so, and the city is His!—written by Cynthia Diane
Second Thessalonians Chapter 2-
"THAT DAY" will not come unless there come a falling away first and that man of sin be revealed. If you look closely, you will see that "THAT DAY" is referring to the day of Christ or the day of the LORD! Amos, Joel and many other books clarify that "THAT DAY" will be all darkness, with no light in it. Amos 5:18, "Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light." I believe it refers to the last three and one half years, God's wrath, the day of Jacob's (Israel's) trouble, great tribulation, etc., under the rule of the Antichrist. So all 2 Thess. 2 is saying is that the falling away and revealing of the Antichrist must take place before the day of Christ begins. As far as "our gathering together unto Him" - that is a reassurance. The last verse of the chapter says to COMFORT ourselves with what the chapter is saying, and if you notice the other verses, they refer to "he who letteth" is holding it all back, and then US versus THEM, Us being the ones who won't be here for "THAT DAY" and they being the ones who believe the lie! So I believe we will definitely be taken out before THAT DAY, and most likely before the Antichrist is revealed. I personally see this chapter as proof that the Rapture will occur before that awful three and one half years! First of all, I want to say I think those who believe the 70th week of Daniel 9:27, or the seven years, when the pact that starts it gets broken in the “midst”, that doesn’t necessarily mean right in the middle. Like when you say you woke up “in the middle of the night”, chances are it could mean 4:00 a.m. I personally believe this “midst” can be shortly after the Rapture, and also shortly after the seven year pact begins. In fact, the Rapture can happen, then the 70th week can begin, yet the abomination of desolation can come not long after the Rapture! And this can still all be Biblical. The first five seal judgments of Rev. 6 equate with the birth pangs mentioned in Matt. 24, Luke 21. The end, or the Rapture, is not yet, but these are signs. (They are also called the beginning of sorrows) Some say these signs have gone on since Jesus’ resurrection, almost 2000 years ago, and some believe there is a period in the first 3 and ½ years of Daniel’s in which to place them. I do believe we are experiencing them now, and that even the events of September 11, and the aftermath- removing our freedoms, consolidation into the U.N. and New World Order, etc., are a part of this. We are hearing of terrorism and released diseases, threats of forced vaccinations and quarantines, etc.; we are seeing freedoms lost at airports, how you mail letters, more blatant talk of national identity mechanisms, etc., and the birth pang list goes on! I personally had a sheriff show up at my door the other day because I had mailed something with tape on it, and then they discovered my prophecy material inside. It’s getting scary out there! But I do not believe we have seen the beginning of the seven years of Daniel yet. And I am not sure we Christians will see either that or the rebuilding of the Jewish temple. Although I do believe these events are to come soon, so that makes the Rapture even sooner! Regardless, the last 3 and ½ years is Biblically called God’s wrath, great tribulation, beginning of the day of the Lord, and time of Jacob’s trouble. The Antichrist and false prophet (the pope?) (Revelation 13, etc.) will only rule for these last 3 and ½ years, although he (Antichrist) will be involved in confirming the pact at Daniel 9:27, possibly. Whether he is or isn’t involved in the confirmation, his identity would not be revealed yet, if the Rapture has not yet occurred. We know at the abomination of desolation, the world will be able to recognize him, and that the present true Church will not see that revealing of him, according to 2 Thess. Chapter two. So here’s how I see it- the birth pangs, or first five seal judgments can and probably do happen before the Rapture. The sixth seal of Revelation 6 contains several events and will be catastrophic to those left behind! Contained in the release of this seal is the Rapture (Rev. 6:13-14), probably the big attempted invasion of Israel from Gog- Magog (Ezekiel 38 & 39), great earthquake, moving of all mountains and islands, possibly destroying underground (taxpayer funded!) storage bunkers for politicians, etc., and in the last verse of Rev. 6, God’s wrath is now set to begin. This means the last three and ½ years is near, as well as the abomination of desolation, revealing of the Antichrist, and setting up of total New World Order, that they are trying so hard to do now! I believe this will be under the United Nations, which I believe to be the fourth beast of Daniel 7 and the beast that arises in the first verse of Rev. 13. I see the potential for asteroids to be the cause of the first five trumpet judgments, so the small period of time before the three and one half years starts is catastrophic, too. Notice there is complete silence for ½ hour before after the sixth seal judgment, but meanwhile in Rev. 7 God is both greeting the dead in Christ and Raptured saints, and is sealing the 144,000 newly Christian Jews! Notice how clear the scripture make it that the same earthly period of silence is found in both Revelation 7:1 and Revelation 8:1, because the interim things are happening in Heaven! Then I believe perhaps a batch of asteroids could begin to pelt the earth, setting off in rapid succession the first five trumpet judgments! In fact, I believe the first four could go so fast that they could happen before the “midst” of the week, maybe demonstrating God’s wrath for the persecution and martyrdom of the fifth seal, going on right now. (This does not refer to the later beheading and martyrdom of great tribulation saints who refuse the mark of the beast, but it specifically says the bowl or vial judgments are to avenge them, too!) It could also be demonstrating God’s wrath for the abomination of desolation, which could be happing right at this same time! Since the three woes are mentioned and the fifth trumpet judgment is the first of them, I believe this is what sets off the 3 and ½ years! Notice this fifth trumpet judgment lasts five months, and tortures everyone except the 144,000 sealed Jews. They are protected from these demonic scorpion locusts, but no one else, not even the new Christians, are protected, nor are any of the Jewish remnant outside of the 144,000 Jews! And notice this trumpet judgment goes beyond the 1/3 of the world that was effected by each of the former trumpet judgments. Then the second woe, the sixth killer trumpet judgment, can be anytime during the last 3 and ½ years after that, except for the final 45 days, which I believe are the days of bowl or vial judgments! Both the fifth and the sixth trumpet judgments involves demons from Hell, waiting to be released for these purposes, and the sixth involves two hundred million of them. Some people erroneously call these Chinese troops, and put it in the battle of Armageddon, which happens later at the second coming of Jesus. They are wrong! The gathering at Migiddo does involve kings of the east (Rev. 16:12), but if you look at verse 14, you will see it’s kings of the east and of the whole world; read to the end of chapter 16. Nowhere is this gathering ever called Chinese or even called two hundred million! It is, however, another gathering (since Eze. 38 & 39) of those foolish enough to try to take Jerusalem, God’s city, again, and again God supernatually intervenes! The Battle of Armageddon is when Jesus himself will finally destroy all evildoers. Anyway, back to the two hundred million killer demons of the sixth trumpet judgment, or the second woe, which is followed by the third woe, or the seventh trumpet judgment. Seventh judgments always contain lightnings and thunders and voices, and the seventh seal and seventh trumpet judgments release the next set of judgments. The seventh bowl or vial judgment comes with “it is finished”. I believe the complete seven bowls or vials will happen in rapid succession, in the last 45 days before the second coming of Jesus, with the Raptured saints, martyrs, and dead in Christ, and probably angels and heavenly hosts, behind him, to witness the Battle of Armageddon. All will have just come from the wedding banquet in Heaven, after having had the judgment of the righteous, which is not the great white throne judgment for the damned. Also, I believe the Rapture of the two witnesses or prophets (Revelation 11) and the other Rapture within the hour (Rev. 14) of the 144,000 Jews will have occurred in time for them to join the wedding banquet, and right before the 45 days. Notice in Revelation 14 there are two heavenly groups there- the 144,000 Jews and the beheaded or martyred saints who refused the mark of the beast or ‘666’) These are more who are to be exempted from the horror to come. Now the whole world will receive the wrath of the bowl judgments, and none except the tiny remnant will be exempted. I’m not even sure they won’t feel the horrible effects of most of it, but they will at least have something really soon to look forward to, at this point. They are left alive to repopulate during the coming millennium. (Dan. 12:12) Only this Jewish remant is elect, and are survivors in order to repopulate during the 1000 years, because of the ancient promise made to them. They will also receive resurrected earthly bodies (like Adam and Eve’s before the fall- just think there will literally be no more birth pains for the women!) at Jesus’ coming, and if these things were allowed to go on any longer, they would have perished with the whole world.(Matt. 24.22, Mark 13:20) (Gentiles included? Isaiah 56) Summary: there you have it- 1st 6 seals , more drawn out, concluding at shortly (perhaps 45-60 days) before the last 3 and ½ years begins. 7th seal, 1st 4 trumpet judgments, perhaps in rapid order, before the point of the last 3 and ½ years begins, but not much before. 5th trumpet begins the last 3 and ½ years. 6th trumpet, sometime in the next three years. All seven bowl or vial judgments, rapid and horrible, even overlapping, during the last 45 days. So-Called “Replacement Theology”- Referring to those who don’t acknowledge the Biblical Rapture reality and also tend to deny that the 144,000 sealed Jews of Rev. 7 and Rev. 14 are actually Jews, or that the elect left after the Rapture and during the last 3 and ½ years of great tribulation to repopulate are Jews. They also distort the covenant God made with Abraham and Sarah, without any stipulations. The promises are still valid. See Genesis 17, 15, 13. These who deny the truth don’t heed the warnings in Revelation 2:9 and 3:9, “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie……..”God’s awesome love for the Jew, when it’s all finished, also gives a great deal of love to the Gentile Christian. After all, Gentiles have been allowed, in God’s grace,approx. 2000 years of Christian domination, and we were only grafted in. The plan for the Jew allows us Gentiles and Jews who are Christians before the Rapture to be with Jesus, while the 144,000 and the remnant will have to deal with great tribulation, the time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) trouble. What’s unfair about that? We are allowed to hear the gospel throughout the world now, and we have a choice. So where’s your “beef”, those who falsely claim replacement theology? Personally, I prefer God’s way, because it’s better for me, a Gentile! Remember the verse that says God will bless those who bless the Jew and Israel, God’s chosen real estate, and curse them who curse her?!? Granted, there are a lot of heathen Jews now, too, but two/thirds will be cut off and die, during times to come, because they will remain stubborn about accepting Jesus even then. And there will be horrible suffering, even death, for the remaining Jews who survive as Christians, and they will flee to Petra, among other places, and will not be living like they do now. They will grieve over both their previous stubbornness about Jesus, they will have sackcloth and ashes at some point, they will have to suffer the agony of seeing remaining family members perish, to an eternity in hell. The one/third saved, I believe, is approximately the same as the number of Gentiles saved for eternity! So what’s one of the biggest differences? Mainly, in the end times, that the 144,000 will all be Jews, and the elect, or remnant saved out of great tribulation for entering the millennium are given that promise of repopulating, under the glorious reign of Jesus, Lord of Lords and Kings of Kings! But even then, there will be rebellion at the end of the thousand years, and some of the people born into their regenerated natural bodies, like Adam and Eve’s, will rebel just like Adam and Eve did! So, Jewish or not, they will be held to the same accountability as everyone today, and can enter the same heaven or hell as we do. See also Romans 9:6-14,27-30; 10:11-12;11:1-36 (whole book), Jer. 16:15;31:10-11;33:22, Eze.28:25;36:12; Isa. 43:5-7;60, Hos. 14:4-7, Amos 9:15, Oba. 10 (verse 15 or whole chapter), Mic. 5:7, Zech. 2:8, and much more! The 65th chapter of Isaiah not only tells about the ‘elect’ being the Jews, but goes into the end times and the 1000 year millennial period. (The Church, both messianic Jews and Gentiles, before the Rapture, are the ‘elect’ before the Day of the LORD, but it then becomes the Jewish remnant.) Be thankful that those terrible days to come will be shortened for the sake of the elect Jews, otherwise all would perish!
Re-Thinking the Rapture
I have an old book called ‘Re-Thinking the Rapture”, by E. SCHUYLER ENGLISH, third printing November 1978, publisher Loizeaux Brothers, Neptune, NJ. In this book, Biblical references are taken, analyzed from original Greek, compared with all relevant translations, and summarized. I am going to break some down to smaller summaries-
“Let no man or woman deceive you by any means, for that day shall not come (the day of the Lord), except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition…..”
The Greek words, translated “a falling away” are “hee Apostasia”, which we call apostasy. “A falling away” is only used this one time in the King James translation. It has a two-fold meaning, the first being “defection, revolt, or rebellion against God”, and the second being “disappearance or departure”. This second definition is taken from multiple sources, and is actually the preferred one, in a choice.
Lidell & Scott’s Greek-English Lexicon (refers to the root meanings of words) says the proper original – hee apostasia- is ‘the departure’. This dates back, in multiple sources, to the 16th century, like William Tyndale’s version of the New Testament, c.1526, Coverdale (A.D.1535), Cranmer (1539), and the Geneva Bible (1557), Beza (1565) and many more later writings call it “departing” with no effort or distortions of the original Greek. Conclusion: “A falling away” means both rebellion and Rapture! So the true Church is not to be here on earth to see the day of the Lord come.
The restrainer- After analysis, my conclusion is that the restrainer is the Holy Spirit, who “will be taken out of the way” when the church is removed. Some believe it’s the Church itself, but my conclusion is God, the indwelling Holy Spirit, and that the 144,000 newly sealed Jews, after the Rapture, will be as Holy Spirit filled as we can be now. As for the others who become Christians at that point, I think God will allow the same kind of indwelling power that He gave some at certain times in the Old Testament. This taking away of the restrainer must happen before the last 3 and ½ years, and at the point of the Rapture. We, the church, with God the Holy Spirit indwelling us, are now actually holding back the Antichrist and all that follows! At the Rapture, God’s wrath can be unleashed, and Satan can be given free reign on earth! So the Church is not to be here then. In Rev. 3:10, the Christian is kept from or out of, not through, great tribulation to come. The restrainer “wiil be taken out of the way”. Rev. 6:14- the Rapture? Matthew 24:36 to the end of the chapter tells about the Rapture. In fact, the verses preceeding v. 31 lead up to the second coming, and those after v.31 tell of the Rapture, perhaps so we don’t know yet where to place it! There is no way that we will be living as in the days of Noah in the verses immediately preceeding v. 31. In fact, there is a verse that tells us before this point that the voices of the bride and bridegroom will be heard no more. (That will be in another prophecy page), and as in the days of Noah, “they will be marrying and giving in marriage”! Verse 39 of Matt. 24 tells how in the days of Noah, the flood came and took them away (in judgment), although Noah and the family were safely hidden away. Verses 40,41 tell of another taking away, and it looks and sounds, in context, like the Rapture. Verse 31 can actually have a dual meaning, and can cover either the second coming or the rapture. Many Jewish scholars know of dual meanings in verses. Many who deny the Rapture like to claim that the verses 40 and 41’s “taking away” is also in judgment, but the word “took” or “taken” in Greek is completely different from the one used in v. 39! John 5:25= the dead in Christ are with Him now and at the Rapture? The Bible says “And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man…….” (Genesis) Even David implored of God, “take not thy Holy Spirit from me” Matthew 25 tells of the virgins who have the oil (Holy Spirit) at the coming of the Bridegroom, and that’s certainly referring to the Rapture, so I don’t think there’s the danger now of “losing” the Holy Spirit’s indwelling, once we’re born again, as there will be after the restrainer is removed, except for the seal the 144,000 Jewish evangelists will receive. I was reading these scriptures and here’s how I see them. Zech. 9:9 tells clearly how He has protected the Jews and Israel down through the ages. Chapter 10 begins to unfold the story of how, although blessed by God, Judah (the scattered Jews) and Israel have left their love for their God, and accept evil shepherds (leaders) and will seem to go unpunished. Chapter 11 begins the process of actual judgment, and I believe has moved up to these last days. Zechariah is told to play act, to demonstrate to the people at the right time, what these verses depict. Because of the wickedness of the people, these wicked shepherds (leaders) will take over the sheep (people) although God got rid of three evil leaders in a single month! (Could that have included Rabin and Peres?) But the sheep don’t don’t yet see it or improve, so God tells Zechariah to break “Grace” which was the contract to lead and protect them, and it might be the point in Rev. 12:14 when God allows the earthly covenant to be broken, too. (Daniel 9:27, 2 Thess. 2:3-7) It’s interesting, the thirty pieces of silver are exactly what was paid to Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus, before Judas cast them away and committed suicide. Then the staff called “Union” is broken, so the basic unity between the Jews who then accept Jesus from this point forward and the Zech. 11:1 to the end of the chapter tell Zechariah to portray the coming Antichrist, or son of perdition (perdition=hell), I believe. Check out the mortal wound by sword mentioned in Revelation and compare it to the last verse of Zech. 11, verse 17. Interesting! I believe chapter 12 equates with equates with Ezekiel 38 & 39 and Revelation 12:15, and begins the Day of the Lord, or the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, or the last 3 and ½ years. Continuing through through chapter 13, you will have the 144,000 sealed Jews preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world, the fleeing Jewish remnant (Matt. 24:14-22, 29-31 (31- verses before it lead to it’s referring to the second coming, but the verses after it give it a dual meaning, because the Rapture is in the next verses, probably God’s way of not letting us know when the Rapture occurs.) Anyway, this point in Zech. Chapter 12 is right at the point when the Jewish remnant Zech. 14:5 even hints at the reality of the Rapture, because we all come back with Jesus at the finale of great tribulation, the second coming! This chapter even gives glimpses into the 1000 year millennium period, when He rules and reigns right here on earth! ---written by Cynthia Diane
We mean by the rapture of the Church the catching up of all true believers in Christ to meet the Lord in the air. This event is simply and clearly predicted in 1 Thess. 4:13-17; 1 Cor. 15:23,15:51-58; Phil.3:20,21; John 14:1-3, Luke 21:34-36, Col.. 3:4, Matt. 24:42 and other passages. One reading of these passages will prove that there is to be such an event as the Lord descending from Heaven to take out of the world, in a moment of time, all the dead and living in Christ. In fact, it would be hard to understand how even one person could fail to understand such a doctrine if he or she will be honest and believe what is plainly written in these passages of scripture. For example, 1 Thess. 4:16,17 says “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first…..Then we which are alive and remain SHALL BE CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord…” In view of such plain language a person would have to arbitrarily deny what is written, or else believe that this event will happen just as it is plainly stated here. Surely there is no room for misunderstanding, so it is obvious that if one does not believe in the rapture, it is because he or she does not believe the Bible.
The rapture of the church is called “the coming of the Lord”, but never the second coming of Christ. At the rapture, Christ does not appear visibly to those on the earth but He comes in the air above the earth to catch up or rapture (snatch away) dead and living saints who rise together to meet the Lord in the air. The rapture is purely a New Testament doctrine (although more subtly mentioned in the Old Testament) and was first revealed to Paul as a special revelation. (1 Cor. 15:51-58), while the second coming of Christ is a clear doctrine of both the Old and the New Testaments. The rapture is a distinct coming in itself, not to the earth, but in the air where Jesus Christ meets the saints and then takes them back to Heaven to present them blameless before God (John 14:1-3, 1 Thess. 3:13, 4:16,17). When is the rapture to happen? I believe that the Heavenly Hosts (angels, etc.) will come to earth’s atmosphere with Jesus at Revelation 6:13 and that the rapture occurs at Rev. 6:14. When the stars are mentioned in this context, it means the rapture. If you will continue through Rev. 6, you will notice right away an indication of realization by some left behind of what has just happened, and the last verse of Chapter 6 tells that the wrath of God is now here. There is a difference between God’s judgment (Rev. 6:1-12, Zech. 6:1-8, Rev. 2:10, 1 Pet. 4:17, 1 Thess. 5:9) and wrath. The rapture must first take place and Christ must first come for His saints (1 Thess. 4:16-17) before He can come back to earth with them (Jude 14, Zech. 14:15). At the rapture, the Lord comes comes from Heaven as far as the air or earthly heavens and the saints will be caught up to meet Him in the air. At the second coming, all return to earth together. The second coming occurs after the tribulation, and if the rapture does take place at Rev. 6:14, it looks like sometime before last 3 and ½ years of great tribulation (a pre-wrath rapture). It also means that the first five seal judgments- the four horses and then severe persecution and some martyrdom of Christians- precede it. I believe we are in that time period now. That would, of course, mean the Antichrist has not yet suffered his mortal wound by sword and come back as Satan Incarnate, into his full power as the son of perdition. The rapture will most likely happen before his identity is revealed, and also before the abomination of desolation where the Antichrist breaks the pact in the midst and defiles the Jewish temple (Dan. 9:27, 2 Thess. 2:3). The purpose of the rapture is to resurrect the just from the dead and take all the saints out of the world before the wrath comes. (Matt. 24 and 25; Luke 21:1-9,25-28, 34-36) and also to open the door for the Jews to return to the gospel of Jesus Christ as God, Savior, and Messiah. In fact, I believe there will be a series of raptures, including the two witnesses (Rev. 11:3-13) and the 144,000 sealed Jews (Rev. 14:1-5). I haven’t really checked this, but I think I heard that the spirit of antichrist, or that there are now many antichrists, are now in small letters, but the Antichrist to come is to be capitalized. I have referred to the fact that the Antichrist will reveal his identity when he both commits the abomination of desolation and when he suffers that mortal wound by sword, then descends to hell, then comes back alive. I think it’s likely his ascension back from the bowels of the earth or from perdition will be after three days, because Satan is a copier of Jesus. It’s indicated that the Antichrist will then be inhabited or indwelled by Satan. (the devil incarnate) This makes him Satan inside of human flesh. I have wondered about some aspects of this. Like, for instance, if the man who suffered the mortal wound might actually remain in hell, or at least his soul stays there, and if somehow the devil can use the dead corpse by himself, with no soul. Or if the ascended man can be a clone that the devil uses. But I heard a radio preacher say something that makes even better sense, and has some Biblical indications. He did not mention this verse, Genesis 3:15, in punishing Satan for tempting the woman. The verse refers to Eve, who was told by God that after the devil’s enmity toward the woman (and the devil has hated women ever since), the verse then refers to satan’s seed and the woman’s seed. We know that Mary was used as a vessel by God, as a virgin, for supernatural implantation by God for conception. Jesus was the only one ever born of a woman’s seed, so we know who is meant here. But what about “thy” or the devil’s seed? I always wondered why the Antichrist was referred to as the devil’s seed, because I have figured that the only one who could be the devil’s seed is the coming Antichrist. But the seed part never really registered before. So when the radio preacher talked about it, he explained his perception. 2 Thess. 2:3 refers to the Antichrist as the son of perdition, and I figure perdition means hell, but now I understand that “son” actually means literal offspring! In context, that truly could mean the literal seed of the devil. When asked if there is going to be marriage in heaven, Jesus answered (Matt. 22:30, Mark 12:25) that the angels in heaven are not the ones having sex with women. But it will be as in the days of Noah, and in Noah’s time fallen angels did have sex with women. It will be as in the Days of Noah when Jesus comes back for the Rapture. In Noah’s time the Bible says fallen angels did have sex with human women, and the women conceived children who were not completely human, in fact were quite large! They were destroyed in the flood, and the fallen angels who committed this atrocity were cast into chains, held in Tartarus, a division of hell, I think. But Satan himself is not chained up. The speculation is that – like in Rosemary’s baby, the Omen series and some of the cartoons children are now watching – the son of perdition could actually be here now, conceived of Satan and an actual woman. The half-man has not been allowed by God to reveal himself yet, until the restrainer is removed, if this is the case. (2 Thess. 2:7) After the Rapture, the son of the devil will be unleashed on the world. Can you imagine the deceptive charisma this being could have on those willing to accept the strong delusion? If this is accurate, he could be both indwelled by his father the devil, and conceived of the devil’s seed, literally!! That’s huge, in implications! There is more proof of demons having sex with women, at Sodom and Gomarrah. Remember when two angels were at Sodom, where the word sodomy, or male homosexuality, is derived? And at Gomorrah. The perversion was so rampant that the men wanted to have sex with these two angels! Apparently these same men, when they couldn’t get the angels, then gang raped a woman to death! Lot was willing to throw his two virgin daughters out to this pack of perverted men, and have them ravaged, rather than have the sin of these men attacking the angels sexually. Angels in the Bible take the male form, except for rare exceptions, and male form was the case here. The fallen angels are the only ones who ever committed heinous sexual sins with women, or with humans. But Sodom and Gomorrah is usually equated with every sex sin imaginable. Whenever a society is saturated with sodomy, or homosexuality, all other sex sins are automatically there, too. God destroyed them. But the last days are referred to as “as in the days of Noah”, meaning all kinds of heterosexual promiscuity permeated society, and of course it was headed towards being like Lot’s era! Does that sound familiar now? If you go back to the devil’s enmity towards the woman, and the coming Antichrist’s having no regard for the desire of women, knowing that her desire is to her husband, it all comes together. We are living in the spirit of antichrist now, and that means marriage and all that goes with it has been discounted; pornography and perversion, fornication and adultery, divorce, illegitimacy, and all that goes with it abounds today! But perhaps the similarity with Noah’s time, as well as these factors, has more to do with the devil procreating with a human woman. Sexually, we are like Noah’s time now, and are headed well into Lot’s time of perversions, and would come to exactly that, if God doesn’t stop it!

To begin with, any couple who is sexually involved and unmarried must deal with this as sin! If both are scripturally available, not divorced or still legally married to someone else, etc, they must marry. If you are a woman involved with a man who is unavailable to you, and in many cases that means divorced or separated from his wife, you must consider yourself in adultery, and repent. If you are a man who is doing the same thing with a scripturally unavailable woman, the same applies. Also, if you are in any way involved in pornography, that is cheating on your wife, if you are married, and unacceptable to God even for a single man, and makes you a hypocrite, sneak, liar, and adulterer/fornicator. If there are illegitimate children involved as a result of your fornication, men, you must take responsibility. If they are a result of your adultery, you are in a complicated predicament, because your wife becomes a party to it. And women who procreate this way are not innocent, either. It’s time we call sex sin what it is, because even professed “Christians” are making an “as in the days of Noah” mess out of American society, and judgment must come.
With the divorce rate hovering around 50 percent, will any home be left ? The impact of divorce on children is staggering and is still to be assessed as the psychological and emotional scars break through to future families. This doesn’t even include the financial impact, what it is doing to women, and even to the men, who in most instances are the ones God makes responsible in the first place! The Bible clearly notes that the impact on a woman is that God also holds her husband/ex-husband accountable for her adulterous behavior that results from his horrendous treatment of her. The future generations that violate all of God’s standards, the sons who will mistreat their future wives, the daughters who will not remain pure, and all that results from the husbands/fathers shunning their responsibility, are the price we are paying now. Even “Christian” men are excusing their “affairs” and their pornography viewing, etc., and sometimes leaving their wives for other women. How dare you call yourself a Christian and behave that way! God gives dire warnings about that.
Even most of the homes that are left intact are left without the criteria set by God’s standards. That, too, is damaging. Churches and pastors preaching from the pulpits either are not doing their jobs thoroughly, or the congregation, esp. the men, are not listening. And too many deacons and other church leaders are instated into these positions without adhering to the proper standards in their home lives. This has got to be made into a priority! Yes, divorced men can be church leaders. If the man, for instance, became a Christian after his marriage fell apart, if he totally and completely repented, if his unmarried ex-wife was given every opportunity to reconcile, etc., if he doesn’t blame her for what was his doing, chances are he would make a better Christian leader than many others. And the scriptural widow, or divorced woman, was left that way through no fault of her own, how dare the church add insult to injury!? If a church woman has to deal with abuses from her husband, or of course the children in this case do too, and the church is not helping or kicking her husband out until he straightens up, like the Bible says to do, then the church they attend becomes an accessory to the crimes, and is held accountable by God. The level of confrontation is pathetically low. Why aren’t “Christians” out trying to change the laws and make women and children more financially secure, for instance, after divorce, especially the women? This in and of itself would make men think twice about trying to escape marriages, because it would actually cost them more! But no, we leave them in poverty, or expect taxpayers to pay for illegitimate and fatherless children.
One of the primary reasons for the breakdown in the home is that we have forgotten the Biblical commands relating to marriage and children, the family. The family unit begins when the wedding takes place. Any biological children then added to the unit becomes a part of that family, until they themselves marry, and begin another family. So the definition of a family is husband and wife. Children then included, but the most important relationship after the one with God is the one with spouse. Even when two virgins are engaged, they have formed a family, by promise or betrothal, and this is Biblically serious! Most today take this relationship way too lightly! You don’t “start a family” when you have children! The commands regarding the family never change. Even some “Christian” writers are publishing books today which reject the Bible’s strict teaching on divorce.
The Bible does not allow divorce on grounds of “he or she doesn’t love me”. The Bible says God hates divorce. He hates divorce because, as Jesus taught, marriage is a picture of the unity between God, as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. When people get divorced, they are tearing at the very fabric of the unity of God.
From the beginning, Satan has tried to disrupt the unity of the TRINITY. Remember, God when creating humans, said, “let US make man in OUR image”, and several places refer to God in the plural. Today Satan is also trying to tear apart the foundation of marriage, or the family. Satan never changes, since his fall, but neither does God. He still hates divorce. And he still hates adultery.
There is no marriage that is beyond repair in God’s sight. If we will first submit ourselves to Jesus Christ and then our marriage into His care and keeping, nothing is impossible with God. This means submission. Men, it means repenting and stopping the abuses, anti-Christian behavior, and lack of Godly headship in the home, loving your wife as Christ loves the church. Women, it means possibly getting with God for the ability to forgive and trust your husband again, when there is evidence for repairs. Remember, a man is accountable for himself, his wife and their children. A woman is accountable for herself and their children. Children are accountable for themselves, and for honoring their father and their mother. All are accountable to God, but especially the husband/father. Undoing past damages is not easy. But we must humble ourselves and lay our pride and desire to please ourselves first on his altar, even if we are licking wounds. It is only then that God can restore feeling and bring healing to a marriage in trouble. The first step in healing a marriage is ours. Most of the responsibility is given to the husband/father, but a married (sometimes separated or divorced, but still married in God’s sight) woman is created as a helpmate in the process. It won’t be long, really, before she knows if she’s freed from responsibility, because if her husband becomes an adulterer, it’s taken out of her hands. God provides the salve that heals, when the willingness and follow-up behavior occurs. The marriage has to be taken that seriously, though. And God will provide the “widow” and “fatherless” the same salve, if they become complete victims, too.
Biblical concept of Divorce= “I hate divorce”, says the Lord God, Malachi 2:16
(A) The only allowable reason is when a spouse is a hard-hearted unrepentant repeat adulterer. His or her deserved penalty is then death. This includes even when not committing the physical act, although the act is worse, for adulterating the marriage relationship. When a husband indulges in internet pornography or flirts with other women, looking at them with lust, he is committing adultery in his heart. When a woman’s husband behaves that way, she is not held responsible, but she must hang onto the Lord for answers. If he does it long enough, without remorse, he is in danger of being an adulterer, and she is married to one! Directions for her life won’t be easy. The Lord in His mercy is now allowing unrepentant, repeat adulterers (and the liars they have most likely become) to live, but scripturally, he is in danger of becoming “dead”. Society is not stoning adulterers to death anymore, or making fornication a crime for which participants are held accountable, but God still does! The only allowable reason for divorce is when a spouse is a hard-hearted unrepentant repeat adulterer. Many “Christian” men who look at women with lust, or engage in pornography tend to excuse themselves, playing down these forms of adultery. These men, and the people who defend or excuse them, are hypocrites! The men who participate and the people who don’t take stands do not belong in church leadership, in any capacity. Their mentality hurts all Christians everywhere! And the women who seduce, dress immodestly, etc, create the same problems, and wreak havoc with those who have to decide how to deal with them.. husbands, keep your wives and daughters pure and decent! This behavior among women and girls even reverts back to the men! But these women and girls need to be confronted, too! You women who dress immodestly, act seductively, etc., are just as bad as the men discussed here. You are creating the mental adultery, if not the physical adultery! So while the violators are allowed to stay alive, scripturally being dead, it is only in this case that the innocent party is allowed to divorce or to remarry, because the adulterer makes her a scriptural “widow” (or “widower”, if the woman is the adulterer). The guilty party is already “dead”. Note: you may separate or remarry when there are other abuses, such as physical or extreme emotional battering of wife or children. Neither separated person may start up with someone else of the opposite sex, or continue with pornograpy, etc., and the husband is still obligated to financially support his family. See 1 Corinthians 7:10-11, 1 Timothy 5:8. Also, if the husband/father is committing incest, that not only constitutes child abuse, but is ground for adultery. Leviticus 18:6, 1 Corinthians 5:1. The church needs to help the abandoned wife and the abused child, in this instance, too, and facilitate this mother’s willingness to help the child.
(B) If a woman commits adultery through joining sexually or remarriage to another man, and her previous husband divorced her earlier, or committed adultery himself, he then becomes responsible for causing her to commit adultery. She and all of the others she has effected are defiled because of her former husband, as well as perhaps the adulterer who participates in the acts with her. See how complicated it becomes? Remember, your body is not your own, but belongs sexually to your spouse, whether you are a husband or a wife, and sexual fulfillment at home is important, for prevention of lots of horrible things! Too many men and women do not take seriously enough the importance of the sexual relationship in marriage. Too many wives ignore this, and too many husbands have “turned off” their wives with previous abuses of their relationship. Both have an obligation.
The husband is also responsible for supplying the wife’s financial needs, both during his lifetime and after his death, until she has another husband. Of course, he is responsible for the financial needs of the biological children, as long as they are dependent. Matthew 19:9, 1 Timothy 5:8 – “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (heathen, non-Christian) Being divorced does not always exempt a man from this!
Anyone who marries a divorced person whose living ex-spouse does not fall under the category of “hard-hearted, unrepentant repeat adulterer” is marrying wrongly, because otherwise that person is not scripturally free to marry another, and you yourself become an adulterer. If you are already wrongly remarried, your marriage is valid. The Bible says that people who have defiled themselves by wrong remarriages are not to divorce and return to the former spouse, but there must be repentance. The former spouse deserves both this and financial support, if a woman. You men who wrongly remarry are not exempt from having to provide life-long (until she remarries) financial support to the wronged ex-wife, and to the dependent children. You women who wrongly marry an unavailable man, even if your former husband placed you in that position, need to honor this commitment, too. Although it is not your job to have to earn the income to pay for the husband’s children. See the mess? You have, however, participated in creating the mess, by taking this unavailable man. See. Micah 2:9, Mal.2:14-16, Matt. 5:31-32, 1 Cor. 7:10-17, Prov. 2:16-19, 5:3-4,15-23, 16:18, Matt. 19:9, Mark 10:11, Acts 15:20, 1 Cor. 5:9-10, 6:15-18, 2 Pet. 2:9-14, 1 Cor. 5:11, 6:9, 1 Pet. 3:7, Gen. 2:24, Matt. 19:5, Mark 10:7, Eph. 5:31, and much more!
Since marriage is to be held in such high esteem, it is not a good idea to talk disrespectfully about it, or to talk disrespectfully to or about your spouse. After God, he or she is your top priority. Of course, that will also cover how well the children are treated. The best gift a man can give his children, after being a committed Christian, is being a committed husband. Example: you would not have child pornography, pedophiles or even homosexuality running rampant if you didn’t have woman pornography!! (And if men, as Christian husbands and fathers, adhered to the rules)
I took out my battery operated Bible and programmed in the word JERUSALEM, and learned a lot about future events. This started basically with the Book of Isaiah, and continued through all of the upcoming prophetic chapters in the Old Testament. Then some passages in the New Testament confirmed my findings. I am going to summarize it in my own words now. I will start with Luke 21:20. Basically it states that when you see Jerusalem surrounded by the same armies mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and 39, and Revelation 12 (the woman is Israel, I believe, and verse 15 has a flood that is the attempted invasion of these troops, the same as mentioned in Ezekiel and Luke!) It is now the middle of December, 2001, and it looks an awful lot in the news like this could be right around the corner! Obviously, God will intervene at this time and protect Israel and Jerusalem, but there is another message here. If you notice, the next event will be the “horrible thing” mentioned by Daniel the prophet in Daniel 9:27. You can read Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 and get a good vantage point of where the abomination of desolation falls in the sequence of events, as well as other chapters and verses. Now I know why God calls it “the abomination of desolation” or “the abomination that makes desolate”. Soon after the troops invade (Eze. 38 &39) and God supernaturally intervenes comes the “midst” of Daniel’s 70th week, and starts the period called great tribulation. How do we know this? Because Daniel told us that the Antichrist or son of perdition confirmed a seven year pact with Israel, although we don’t know his actual identity until sometime before the last 3 and ½ years of tribulation, or whenever the Antichrist suffers a mortal wound by sword and comes back as Satan Incarnate (Satan wrapped in human flesh). He will also be recognizable when he goes into the Jewish temple at the midst of the covenant, breaks the pact, and defiles the temple. This abomination of desolation obviously happens after the attempted invasion of Israel. By the way, God’s love for Israel and the Jews is demonstrated both at this point of supernatural intervention and again at the Battle of Armageddon gathering, again attempting to take Israel, and Jesus will then come back personally and intervene! So it’s a risky thing to mess with God’s real estate and God’s chosen people. (That also includes Gentile Christians, even when it appears they are not being defended!!) So this Eze.38 and 39 supernatural intervention will serve as a huge warning, as well as a blatant demonstration of the reality of God. I personally believe the Rapture of the saints or the Church will happen simultaneously, so it will be hard to miss, unless a person chooses to distort the truth and believe the lies and deceptions that will be put forth at that time. If you read Luke 21:21, you notice it has a huge warning, and with good reasons! It says for the people of Israel, Jerusalem and Judea to immediately escape and not to attempt to stay anywhere near their homes! This is not going to be a time when new Christians, Jew or Gentile, will be able to remain in any semblance of life as they knew it. In fact, most who become Christians will die soon, at this point, because the mark of the beast will soon be issued, and there will be no escape! (DO NOT TAKE THAT MARK, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS!!) But for the Jew, who has now become a Christian, there may be some small reprieve, and the warning is for the Jew who inhabits Israel. I would venture to guess it means run to Petra, in Jordan. At least that is how it’s been interpreted in recent years. I would also guess it means for everyone else to leave, run, and hide, too, and without time to spare. For now, in the last 3 and ½ years, or the time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) trouble, begins a time when only those 144,000 sealed and protected Jews, or else maybe accept Jesus Christ and are hiding in the rocks (Petra, maybe?) will survive. And it bears repeating that there will be no time to gather belongings, etc. A note to those who deny the Rapture comes before this: why would God protect only the 144,000 sealed Jews, replace the other saints and their ministries with them, and leave the majority of his bride behind to suffer these atrocities? I would consider that spouse abuse! No bridegroom would do that to the bride he loves! I heard that on the radio today, and think it bears repeating! For beginning at Isaiah and through the rest of the prophetic passages in the Old Testament, referring to Jerusalem (and Judah), God now makes the land desolate, in retaliation for the Abomination (that causes Desolation!!) and most of the retaliation is directed toward the Jewish inhabitants themselves! God, at this point, will be demonstrating his wrath toward the Jewish people allowing all of this idolatry and defilement, by compromising with the antichrist’s beast system. For this 3 and ½ years, not only will Jerusalem be downtrodden by the Gentiles, but the Antichrist who I believe will be living in the Mystery Whore of Babylon (the United States?), in fact possibly in NEW YORK CITY, as Secretary-General of the United Nations, will be sending military troops over to Jerusalem (and Judah) to take over people’s homes, take captive any and all Jews, or degrade them and rape, kill them- men, women and children alike, and to take their gold and silver and all bootie and spoils, to be carried back to Mystery Babylon. Hence, the “make desolate”- God, in His wrath, is going to allow Jerusalem to be burned and ravaged, and vacated, and the people cleared out. But there is a light at the end of the tribulation. When the troops gather at the Valley of Megiddo, at the end of the 3 and 1/2 year reign of terror, again to invade and conquer Jerusalem once and for all, God again intervenes, but this time in a different way. At this point, Jesus will return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, although Jerusalem will experience a gigantic earthquake that will split the city. He will prevent the Gentile worshippers of Antichrist from defiling his Holy City (Jerusalem) by completely destroying (casting to Hell)the Antichrist, False Prophet, Satan, and everyone gathered to do battle against Jerusalem! Then we, the followers of Christ, will set up our earthly kingdom, with Jesus ruling from Jerusalem. He will have gathered his tiny remnant left alive, and they will receive their glorious, resurrected earthly bodies, like Adam and Eve once had. From this point forward, Jerusalem and all of Israel will again be blessed, and given the proper status as God’s property! But until then, and when you see the armies surrounding and the abomination that causes desolation (and hopefully you won’t be left on earth to see this), and if you are living in Israel, particularly Jerusalem (and Judah) you must do two things immediately (A) Accept Jesus Christ as God, Messiah, LORD, and Savior; become a true Christian, and (B) Run for your very life, to the rocks and hills!! 1 Corinthians 15:52- “…..at the last trump:for the trumpet shall sound…” 1 Thessalonians 4:16- “….with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump,of God. All trumpets, above and in the Book of Revelation are trumpets which will sound at God’s command. Rev. 8:2- “seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets” (Notice it is unlikely any of them are the archangel, or Michael, mentioned in conjunction with the Rapture!) Rev. 8:3 says “Woe woe woe, by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels which are yet to sound, referring to trumpet judgments number 5, 6, and 7. Rev. 8:1- the seventh seal opened, no plague or judgement, but gives way to or contains the seven angels with the seven judgments. Rev. 8:2- in definite consecutive order; v. 2 even starts with “and”. Rev. chapter 10- the seventh angel does not pour out his trumpet until after a pause, when the mystery of God shall be finished. You’d think if the angel with this, the seventh trumpet, were Michael, or the archangel mentioned so clearly in 1 Thessalonians, that would be specified. So many erroneous Bible translators are trying to make the seventh trumpet judgment and the last trump of the Rapture to be one and the same, but that is not indicated anywhere! This judgment, the seventh trumpet judgment, contains the vial judgments, and does not contain any specified other plagues, and the seven angels with vials are introduced in Rev. 15 and begin in Rev. 16, even showing John the revelator things in chapter 17. To make a trumpet judgment into anything else is a purely fabricated stretch of the imagination! And to call the last trump that goes with the voice of the archangel, and with the Rapture, the same thing as the seventh trumpet judgment is so far-fetched I don’t know how anyone can take that idea seriously! Trumpet judgment #6 (Rev. 9:14) – REGARDING THE 200 MILLION – Four bound angels released to kill one third of people, with an army of 200 million. Out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone, and their power is in their mouths and tails, because they kill with the issue from these. These are demons, allowed for this purpose! In Rev. 16:12- “kings of the east” and Rev. 16:14- “kings of the earth and of the whole world” to gather for the Battle of Armageddon, and nowhere are they mentioned as being 200 million, or being Chinese. The 200 million are demonic hoards, and not the same bunch as the ones gathered to take Jerusalem, at the valley of Megiddo. The leaders of the gathering there are not all from the east, or China, and we have no idea how many there are! The battle, by the way, is not between people, but when we return behind Jesus and they actually turn on Him, the king of kings and Lord of Lords, and try to battle Him! It won’t be much of a battle, because the Raptured saints and dead in Christ will watch Jesus totally win! He also destroys (casts alive to hell, in the center of the earth) the devil, false prophet and antichrist at this location and time. So the Battle of Armageddon, as we like to call it, is not really a “battle”.
Now that we have clarified the erroneous notions about the seventh trumpet judgment and about the 200 million, let’s move to more of the reasons why the Rapture is before the last three and one half years, and not immediately at or preceding the second coming of Jesus. Some who try to argue for the Rapture and second coming being one and the same use two verses of the Bible to prove their point. First, they say that Matthew 24:31 and the preceding verses make the Rapture correspond with the second coming. This would be true, if you ignore the verses after Matt. 24:31! The Rapture is all in v. 31 and after. The second coming is also in v. 31, but the events leading up to it are in consecutive order, right before. It is not unusual for a verse to have a dual meaning, according to Jewish rabbis, who study deeper root definitions. You have to put it in context. The way it is written, we don’t get to see in Matthew 24 exactly where the Rapture happens, and that is by plan. But we do get to see the order of other events. So that clarifies the order of Matt. 24:31, and the people who try to ignore the verses after this verse appear to me to be doing it intentionally! And even when they do delve into the “days of Noah” verses, they distort them, too! Another of the “pet” verses of the distorters is Rev. 20:5, referring to the “first resurrection”. I finally decided to grab my Strong’s Concordance and other references, and check it out, looking up #386, Resurrection, ‘eythan’ or ‘ethan’. There are several definitions and directions, and admittedly, they can actually make the point they want to make, if they ignore the rest! But I can make the other points! Root meanings include upsetting or unsettling minds by disseminating religious error, but, even more commonly, a comparison with a continuance of life on earth, which is spoken of as by kind a license, from an unused root. In fact, it is equated with a root, meaning to continue, permanence, or a root that is hard, mighty, rough, strength, or strong, unused root, to be perennial. Continuance, continually flowing. This is the first resurrection, the next or second one does not happen until after the thousand years to follow. Since it mentions a continuance of life on earth, perhaps it refers to the first time since Adam and Eve that human beings are reinstated to physical perfection, in the original Garden of Eden state. Good news for the vegetarians, even though we are to eat meat now, I understand that won’t be the case then. Perhaps that is why the lion will lie down with the lamb, and the little child will be able to play with animals now dangerous! To me, that does not disprove the earlier death or Rapture resurrection! Since we will neither marry nor be given in marriage after death or Rapture, I think the physically perfect Jewish (and maybe some Gentiles, maybe not?) persons left here on earth are the ones mentioned in the first resurrection. They are the ones starting out as a small remnant surviving in mortal state, meant to enter the 1000 years, and being transformed to Adam and Eve’s original state, will be able to marry and bear the children who will also live out the 1000 years, for the most part. The next resurrection after the 1000 years is the one where the saved of these masses from the millennium will the acquire their heavenly, permanent bodies, I believe! And of course at the end of the 1000 years, when Satan is released for a short time, and at the Great White Throne resurrection from hell, for judgment, the unsaved will be judged and permanently damned. So the arguments for placing the first resurrection at the same time as the Rapture again don’t hold any validity! ----written by Cynthia Diane
