Chewy Double Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup cocoa
2 cups unsifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups chocolate chips
Method:
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
- Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; blend into creamed mixture.
- Stir in chips.
- Drop by teaspoonsful onto greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 F for 8-9 minutes. Do not overbake; cookies will be soft. They will puff while baking and flatten while cooking.
- Cool slightly before removing from pan.
- Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
