One of the bold and outgoing gods, Eternity needs to learn not to play with fire too much. You know, speaking of fire, maybe I should talk to Artemis about getting Dani's kid for a couple days so Raiena can have her fun with the temples too! After all, what's Eternity gonna do to her? Capture her? ::smirks::

Eternity is a child at play,
playing draughts
-Heraclitus

It has only been around two years since I and my sister have taken an interest in the activities of what goes on in the realms in question. Our small pantheon of gods moved because the world which was our chief interest became all but worthless. The constant warring amongst the people devastated both the land and the population so that it wasn’t worth the trouble anymore. And so our father Lathair gave us a challenge; to go to a world of his choosing and see who could make the most impact. The one who did would take his place as leader of the pantheon, becoming a greater god in the process. This sounded like a most worthwhile challenge, and so the two of us began to work on it. Our eyes caught sight of Tandraia, the most powerful country on that world. And we both made plans to make our marks there and on that entire continent. I began by using my psionics to gather allies. One of my areas of command is psionics and it was much easier than it might have been. This world was not so strong in that area, very few even knowing about the powers of the mind, let alone being capable of using them.

I concocted a sort of “poison” that when used on a weapon that wounds a person would cause that person to come under my control. It worked rather well until I came up against one person: Darryl Bloodheart. He was wounded and the poison went through his system, but there was something about him that made him strong enough to not be so easily controlled. This caught my attention and I found something in him that I wanted control of. Unfortunately, his friends were not so quick to allow me to just take over. They helped him to fight; Aslina, Patrick, and Danielle being the most successful in helping him. Very annoying of them. Aslina finally came up with the idea to get him something to protect him against mental control and the gypsy woman Gaya was able to help with that request. This thwarted my plans rather effectively and I had to pull back to consider things.

In the meantime, my sister Martinique was doing her own deeds that I am sure she will be relating to you. Her plans were thwarted as well and then we both went silent for a time. She gained some allies and not long after that I passed on a “virus” that gave me control of their minds and their loyalty. Three of the five work for me still. And lately I have been working very hard at taking my place in the scheme of things. My father has started to become less than sure about appointing either of us to take his place lately and turned his thoughts to having another child. That is when Martinique and I cooperated for the first time ever and called in our mother, Megiana. Her powers are the only ones that are capable of regularly defeating my father’s, both being gods of Chaos. She has protected us in part from our father’s interference. He has taken great pleasure in the past from his little “competitions.” He pits two people against each other for a prize that both wants and then the winner receives that prize. He does not play favorites and has never given anything away without a price. Not until recently, that is. He has taken an interest in a mortal woman; Naida Tario. Don’t ask me what he sees in her. She is quite beautiful and brash, but has a foul mouth and a rather hot temper. And one of her vampiric weaknesses is most annoying: she must say exactly what she thinks at all times. Our mother has made sure that Lathair shall not be making anymore children, however. Not with her and not with anyone. Not if he wants Megiana to keep from hurting Naida. We had her child Gregory for a time, but now he is well protected. However, the woman shall never be seeing her new baby, my mother has taken it away and keeps it on her own realm. Small punishment for what she has done. Although Naida wears a ring that has many powers, a special teleport that can be activated by Thomas being the most useful of these. And so we can deal with her whenever we choose. And believe me when I say that Thomas will be choosing to do so very often. Perhaps then my father will learn the disadvantages of favoring this woman who can be used so well against him.

Out of Eternity
This new day is torn;
Into Eternity
At night, will return
-Thomas Carlyle

Traveling is not just seeing the new; it is also leaving behind. Not just opening doors; also closing them behind you, never to return. But the place you have left forever is always there for you to see whenever you shut your eyes.
