Pinter
in Old Times
Henry Fonda Theater
Pinter is the ideal
performer, studied, exact, natural, he pours out the brandy at his hip.
Nicola Pagett is
his wife, Liv Ullmann the visiting old chum from the arty days.
The theater is in
disrepair now, it was new.
Orson Welles had
just died, Pinter recites the credits without visibly
flinching. He takes off his glasses at the remark of his youthful
attractiveness.
He tears from one
to the other in the last scene, weeping.
