The 1830 census of Jefferson County, New York, lists a George Oatman as the head of a household containing one male under five and one male aged 20-30, with no females. If this is the same family, it would place George's birth- date 1800-1810, with the small child being his son George, born 1829.
Although George is not listed in the 1851 census of South Norwich, he is living there in 1861 with his son Warren and his family. He apparently died between 1861 and 1871, as he is not listed later.
A George Oatman is listed as being on the Board of Overseers of Highways in Oxford County, Ontario, on January 1838, but it is unknown if this is the same George Oatman.

Hosea Heath bef 1846; he was b. 1812, NY, d. 15 May 1867, St. Clair Co., NY, the oldest son of Timothy Heath, Sr. Hosea's youngest brother married a Samantha Oatman, relationship unknown. In the 1870 census of Ruby, Clyde Township, St. Clair Co., MI, she is 48, a widow, with the following children:
A Warren, b. ca 1846 in Canada (24 in 1870). Warren, of Ruby, MI, a clerk, m. 1) 5 Oct 1873, Harriet Van Luven of Grant, MI; 2) 25 Apr 1875, Margaret Spooner, of Grant, MI.B Rosette, b. ca 1849 in Canada (21 in 1870)
C Ermina "Emma", b. 4 Jun 1854, Springford, Oxford Co., ONT (16 in 1870); m. 1874, Henry Van Luven, St. Clair Co., ONT. They had five children born by 1900.
D Edwin, b. ca 1858, MI (12 in 1870)
E Martha, b. ca 1863, MI (7 in 1870)
In 1900 St. Clair Co., MI, Almira, 77, has been married 61 years, had nine children, six of them living, and came to the U.S. in 1860. She was living with her daughter Ermina and son-in-law Henry Van Luven.
Another source lists Almira and Hosea's children as: Elijah, Niram, Lovicia/Louisa, Lydia, Hosea Jr., and Washington.
