Pip: This is my glass pipe. The standard piece for any collection. I bought it at Discount Cigarettes (on fourth street) for 30 dollars plus tax. It is a very thick, sturdy glass; it even has layers of glass inside for cool visual effects. I bought the pouch at Charlotte's Web (on railroad) for some amount of money that I cannot remember. I have owned Pip for a few months now; Shane broke my last one, which he turned into a blunt holder named Pipito. He is Pip's Mexican cousin. |
The Volcano: This piece gets no name because it already has one that earns respect amongst most medical marijuana patients. This vaporizor cost me a good half a grand down at the Oakland Cannabis Buyers' Cooperative. It works well, and it works hard. Probably my favorite piece to use, it also is the most time consuming. It has to warm up for several minutes before use, and the weed must be grinded first. That preparation goes a long way; The Volcano gets you a little more stoned than just smoking. |
Bong Ho: I love this bong; it's my favorite of all the ones I've owned. It also is the best one that I've owned. In the neck, there is this indent, so when it bubbles it makes this really unique sound. It doesn't sound like any other bongs I've heard. If used right, this bong conserves weed really well. I got it from the usual head shop I go to on Telegraph. It cost a hundred dollars, with a bowl, but I accidentally broke that one. |
Spyro: After Sweatermeat broke I replaced it with Spyro, which is basically the same exact bong. The only difference is that it is red with black and isn't transparent. That is the only problem with Spyro; you cannot see how much water you have put in it. I got it from the same store as sweatermeat, but it cost 30 dollars, rather than 25. I guess paint costs five bucks.

Sweatermeat: This bong is my home and party piece. When I'm at home, I have to sneak it around my family in a sweatshirt or other piece of clothing; hence the name. I bought this piece on Telegraph in Berkely for 25 dollars. It's the standard bong; they had about 15 of them in different colors on display behind the counter. Nothing special, but it works pretty damn well. I've had it for half a year or so now.

GLAB #2: This is one of my original pieces, or at least an exact replacement of that piece. In head shops, they have those generic plastic bongs that cost about ten dollars, give or take a few bucks based on the salesman. It doesn't hit all that well and the bowl is really small, but it's a good bong for travelling with. It's small, so it fits in a backpack. It's also plastic, so it won't break. |
Watson: My new bubbler, purchased two days ago on Telegraph in Berkely for 35 dollars. I could have gotten a better price, but I was too drunk to haggle. This piece is about the size of a pipe, so it's a good handheld bubbler. Easy to pass around during a smoking session. It also hits nicely. The way it is held reminds me of the way Sherlock Holmes holds his pipe, so I decided to name it after his assistant, Watson. I was also thinking of Spiderman's Mary Jane Watson because the lines on the bubbler remind me of a spider's web. |
Thorton: I got this guy from the same store I bought Watson at on the same day. I originally bought him for 40 dollars as a Christmas gift to my sister, but I had forgotten that I had already bought her presents. I was drunk. With that in mind, I decided to keep the elf guy for myself. The top part of it screws off and you can put water inside. It's a bong! It's really comfortable to hold and hit; a great chill bong. I had seen Bad Santa the day I bought this, so I named it after the fat kid from the movie, Thorton. |
Shamuibaba: A nice Sherlock Holmes kind of pipe; it has an all-metal bowl with built in screen. There is also a venting system so you don't suck in ash. I bought this at Discount Cigarettes for 12 dollars from an Arabian guy, so I named it an Arabian sounding name. |
Ike: When I was making this page, I hadn't realized I had no name for my homemade gravity bong. So I started to think about gravity...which reminded me of Einstein. Then I realized he had nothing to do with gravity, and I remembered that it was actually Isaac Newton. I didn't want the name of the piece to be too cheesy, so I chose Ike (short for Isaac) because most people wouldn't be able to put it together until you explained it to them. The stem is placed down into the hole on top of the lid, using a rubber circle to seal it airtight. |
I really liked the bowl that came with Bong Ho, but it broke. It worked out well, though, seeing as how out of it I got this new bowl, which is a lot better. It's got room for a pretty deep bowl. Grabbing it out of the stem is easy because it is tall and thick. I don't remember how much it cost or where I bought it. |
Along with all my pieces, I always like to keep on hand some papers. I like to have a variation of choices, so I'll usually keep in stock a blunt wrap, medium sized flavored papers, and small plain papers. I have my favorite flavor of blunt wrap here: sour apple. It always just gives the weed a wonderful sweet taste. I usually always get different flavors of the medium sized papers. These are good when you have enough weed and want to enjoy a nice joint. For the small papers, I usually just get Zigzags. Here I have my usual choice: Kutcorners. They can roll well with a small amount of weed. This is great for when I'm just bored at home and want to take a walk to the park to get a little stoned. |
