"Until he extends his circle of compassion
to all living things,
man will not himself find peace."

Albert Schweitzer

For those of you who haven't met me yet, let me fill you in on a few of the details of my life. I'm an only child and have lived all my life in Ohio. I was born and raised in Dayton where I studied to be a licensed Cosmetologist. I met my husband my senior year in high school and we married the winter after we graduated. I worked as a Cosmetologist up until the time I had my second child and then quit to be a stay-at-home Mom. I babysat and did other "at-home" work until my third child went to kindergarten.

We now reside in a small village with an approximate population of 1700. I work out of my home as a Floral Designer dealing mainly in silk flower arrangements and custom gift baskets. I also do weddings....the planning, flowers and decorations.

When it comes time to relax I love to sketch, paint , read, listen to most all types of music, go antiquing, visit the Zoo , swim, boat... well really anything involving the water, and chat online . Because of the internet, I have made some really fantastic friends from all over the world!

I have three grown children:

A son who was the patient genius that instructed me in how to get started designing my homepage. He is the proud owner of his own business where he constructs web pages for small businesses. He is also a Professor at a local college where he teaches web design. This past September he became engaged and is now busy making wedding and honeymoon plans for October of 2007!

Next is my oldest daughter who was married in September of 2003. She is presently working as a Baker and will soon be moving into a management position. I'm pretty sure that if she hadn't of been born my daughter, we would have still been the best of friends. Her and I do everything together! If we aren't at one another's homes, we are on the phone with each other! But most importantly...at least to me, is the fact that she's the mother of my first grandchild a little boy, born in Feb. of 2005. She will be giving him a little brother or sister here any day now! I can't wait!!!

Last but not least, the sunshine of my life who always has a smile on her face to brighten my day, my youngest daughter who totally blew us away with her decision to join the Army at the age of 19. She attended college for a year and a half on a well deserved scholarship. Then deciding that the military was the best way to get what she wanted out of life, she joined for 4 years. She felt that one person COULD make a difference and has totally excelled at showing all of us that she was right. She is so awesome and has accomplished so much since joining. She's now a Sergeant and has numerous awards under her belt. I don't know if she will be a "lifer" in the Army, as she has since re-upped for an additional 2 years, or will rejoin the civilian life...but I do know that whatever she decides to do, she will succeeed!!
